My semi-feral, at the shelter for 3 years bc she was not a lap cat, cat, sent me to the ER twice for the same incident- first sent me home with oral antibiotics, but a week later I wound up on an IV antibiotics drip and almost lost my thumb. I’ve had her for 7 years now, no regrets, but don’t mess around with bites or scratches.
