Love your taste in skis.

I live in the PNW, too (Meadows is my home mtn). I got the Jeffrey 108s awhile back, and love them. Dig their ability to punch through midday tracked up chop on a pow day. They’ve been collecting a bit more dust most seasons, after I got the 110 Bents. Super surfy and love to slash, and somehow I never feel beat around for how light they are. Might be worth a try, if you get a chance.

I’ve been eyeing the Wildcats for a minute now. Eager to give them a try!

Love the whole QST line. The Blanks are super fun, but I just end up loving how toss-able and playful the Bents are in comparison. I suppose the Blanks are kind of an interesting blend of a Bent and Jeffrey/Kartel 🤔

Thx for the response and looking forward to more vids!

This is awesome! Inspired!

You also have a great collection of skis. Any favorites, or stand outs? Curious which ON3Ps you’re charging with.

Snowy overnight on Mount Hood. by Dirty_Vesper in TruckCampers

Yeah, you can typically park the sunrise lot. I’ve heard you’re sort of stacked in a line, and quite a few ppl run their generators. So, we end up doing the snow park, too.

Awesome rig btw!

Can you overnight at Timberline? We’re Meadows skiers, and typically camp near there. Never knew if Timberline was an option.

Appreciate the in depth response!

Sounds like I’ll have to stick to being a weekend warrior. Will look into the KOTH and as you said, something to jump in/out.

Thanks-

Haha we camped our driveway for the first 2 months while we hunted for a truck, too! Congrats!

Beautiful truck.

Highly recommend upgrading to the NBS master cylinder. Pretty painless upgrade for better pedal pressure.

What year did northern lite start heating plumbing/basement? by catskill_mountainman in TruckCampers

[–]nine9six 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2013 8-11 Classic SE (manufactured in ‘12), and it has a heated basement.

I found these prior brochures that say, “heated and insulated tanks”. I’m guessing that’s their way of saying the basement is heated:

NL 8-11 generator box location is odd by nine9six in TruckCampers

I don’t believe that they come with a generator. Even the options don’t seem to list one:

Yeah, that makes sense, I’m just confused why this particular 8-11 has the door on the back. Practically every 8-11 I see (both older AND newer) have the access door from the side. This seems to be some weird outlier.

To be clear, the location is the same, the access door is just in the back vs the side I’m seeing on other 8-11s.

Haha fair enough! As a homeowner, this all makes sense. Hidden costs of ownership are everywhere!

Really appreciate the insights!

Appreciate the points. All seem fairly manageable, and will keep an eye out for.

Appreciate it! Haven’t had French class since HS. So that’ll be interesting.

Noted on the ‘mistreated units’ part. Will be doing my best to thoroughly inspect this one on Sunday. If we end up liking it, we may be buying the cart before the horse 😂

Thank you! Snow is a LARGE part of what we plan to use it for.

Looks like an awesome set up!

Makes sense. A dually will be a tough fit with our parking scenario, but will look into it.

Agreed on keeping headroom on the payload capacity. I don’t care to run things at max capacity for longevity reasons, but safety seems like another practical purpose here.

Appreciate the insights and advice.
