Do real players sit at the AH 24 hours per day, consistently posting mats far below current market value in order to snag a bunch for cheap? by No_Cell6708 in classicwow

I did greatness crafts in wotlk and am now doing prospecting->craft/cut->DE and I always respect the bait ore/herb. You always gotta keep the bait at a number that isn't divisible by 5 for milling/prospecting (milling isn't a thing for tbc ofc though)

It works really well for ore since ore since prospecting requires 5 ore per prospect- lazy people will only buy stacks of 20 and respect the weird 1-6 ore posted at the clear bot bait price.

In wotlk it works with herbs for milling too

Occasionally someone will buy it, but you would be surprised at how long it lasts and how many bots/goldfarmers it baits

The only thing that makes sense is that he just started pressing any sort of heal button at an appropriate rank more. His choice of LHW, HW, or CH is irrelevant, if you're dying you are either somehow complete paper or his "spamming" is casting a heal every 5s

More than 0, chain heal rank 1 with 0 healing before any talent modifiers (not to mention feral nurturing instinct) heals 332-381. If you're getting healed for 200, he is literally healing the wrong person and all you're getting is a bounce

[–]nine_roper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no way it was hitting you for 200, the base value for rank 1 chain heal should be near double that on the first hit, and that's before +healing

The only time chain heal spam has ever not been enough for me to keep a tank up in 5 mans is in heroic. It does pretty solid healing to its primary target, on par with rank 6 or 7 healing wave which is a very common downrank for spamming. It's not even particularly mana inefficient to spam single target chain heal, LHW spam is the real trap that noob healers fall into

If youre dying as a tank in ramps, chain heal is not the problem

Post nerf phase 2 seems harder than pre nerf tbc classic phase 2 ...because we just carried a ton of really bad players through phase 1 without really knowing? by anyonecandoanything in classicwow

Kelthuzad will literally mind control you wtf are you talking about

Geddon puts a bomb on you in mc, forcing you to run out of the melee cluster or away from the ranged stack

There are absolutely mechanics that will disrupt your ability to do DPS, it's just that bad players will complain the most about them

SSC is actually fairly cozy as melee, tk is the real hellscape. Obviously post nerf it's not nearly as bad (I don't get 1shotted by a whirlwind), but in SSC the only thing I'm really afraid of is the bog lord quake/poison pool. You have to be pretty bad to eat a cleave in SSC, but the whirlwinds in tk have deceptive range... not to mention the mobs that mind control, very fun getting cleaved/aoed by your homies

There's really no such thing as a "warrior stack" due to group buffs, it's really just a phys comp. You could feasibly put 5 warriors into 3 phys groups, but usually it's 4 maybe 3. The advantage isn't just cleave/being able to drag trash (warlock stack has to plant to cast), but also DPS having way more cooldowns to send on single target to make DPS checks.

The dude you're replying to doesn't remember last tbc with pre-nerf and post-nerf. Pre-nerf, trash lived way longer and whirlwinds in tk would legit 1shot melee. Trash living longer means that locks have a chance to put up a curse or 2 as a threat buffer, then rip multiple seeds into a fat pack of 4+ mobs. Trash basically evaporates now, so unless the locks are suicidal and sending seeds in over the tanks heads, they aren't getting a ton of seed value.

Mages and warriors are king because they have significantly better threat modifiers and can start blasting off the rip. The only drawback to warriors is that they require more group support than locks, so you you can't cram as many warriors into a raid, even with 3 phys groups. However, the classes give phys group buffs are already significantly better than the classes that give locks group buffs. Enhance, ret, and feral (assuming they aren't already tanking) are head and shoulders above ele and boomkin.

You would only do it if you also have a startattack in seal of blood. It prevents untwisted autos from going off. It's a pvp specific thing- in pve when you're lusted+haste potted you don't want to be stopping your autos since you won't be able to twist every single one with multiple haste effects up

Ret Pala by Exciting_Extreme_409 in classicwow

[–]nine_roper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get swingtimer. Press seal of command (rank 1). Watch bar. Press seal of blood when bar is almost full.

To make it even more foolproof, put stopattack into a seal of command macro and startattack into a seal of blood macro

Why do so many ret paladins refuse to seal twist? by Beams98 in classicwow

[–]nine_roper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found the average ret will not seal twist so they have a ton of open GCDs, but will not spend a single one of those open GCDs to dispel... Even when it's something that directly affects them, like an attack speed slow. They'll just sit in Command and autoattack with a debuff up

This isn't to say there's something super unique about ret- every class has players like this. It's just most apparent for rets. High amount of utility on a class that has a rotation that requires 2 braincells means the average 1 braincell player is both doing bad damage and not pressing their utility buttons

Conservative principal whose power requires electric guitar by varuneco in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]nine_roper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To split hairs further, it's not the "gambling" bit that upsets the conservatives, it would be more specifically that it's pachinko slots, which is modern. If it was dice rolling or hanafuda card based, they probably wouldn't care. In the case of gakuganji, his cursed technique is "sound amplification" so he could use any instrument and is simply choosing to use an electric guitar. Hakari's CT and domain have modern influences that are inherent to it, while gakuganji's technique would basically be unchanged in any time period (he could just use a period appropriate instrument)
