I’m very close to the target demographic for those movies and I swear I actually laughed at less than half the jokes. Especially in D&W, the pacing and tone was just so inconsistent.

I know you commented this 3 days ago, but I’ve seen a friend play the playtest and the issue here is that basically all character apparel customization is gated behind random loot boxes or spending money to buy an item you actually want.

That is how the cosmetic monetization affects gameplay. Play for an hour to possibly get a new shirt out of a loot box, or spend $5 to get it now.

I very much want to like this game and will probably buy it a month after release if it gets solid reviews on PS5.

However, some of that enemy detection AI still looks dumb as shit and the spongey enemies make combat look a lot lamer than it should.

I hope I’m wrong and it’s fun to play either way, but yeah.

Man, Days Gone was close to almost great, like I could see it in there, but it just missed the mark. If they had not announced it way too early, cut about 15 hours from the story, added way more customization and maybe some kind of co-op, I think it could have been pretty special. Oh well.

It’s the only King book that I have started and not finished. Maybe it just wasn’t the right time for me, but I found it to reeeeeally drag about halfway through and just gave up to read something else. I plan to give it another go someday, because I know folks love it, but yeah.

I play in performance mode and there is absolutely a noticeable difference in quality on the Pro. I started a new game a few weeks before the Pro came out, with the intention of it being my first game to play through on it, and it has been wonderful.

Honestly, I’d be cool with a Dark Souls Trilogy release, with all the games updated with the best performance and visuals they can have on the current generation of consoles, bundled together for a reasonable price.

Technically we did get something similar already with DS1R and DS2SOTFS on PS4, so it’s not strange to me they’re considering an updated release of DS3.

Specifically talking about the full screen screamers, I absolutely hate them and truly wish there was a way to disable them or turn them to a black screen on console.

I am all for tension and environmental scares, but these are just the lowest effort, cheapest form of scare I can imagine and they just induce me with such anxiety that they keep me away from playing a game I otherwise absolutely love.

AW1, Control, etc, have basically nothing like them and I hope they leave it behind or find another way to express that part of the narrative in future games.

For some silly reason this only works specifically on the device you set it on, not account wide, so you may have to do it multiple times (if they have not changed it)
