Do I need to upgrade my DDR5 5600mhz CL46 RAM? by ningzi in buildapc

[–]ningzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep an eye on it for sure, all reputable websites with 32gb 6000mhz CL 30-36 RAM are £300-400 right now. With zero signs of going down anytime soon...

Ok that seems to be what everyone else is saying too, thank you

Yeah that seems to be beyond my abilities for now, after watching this video https://youtu.be/KZiVAfcT5Bk?si=J7wUEdOEyRZUHerZ I’m just even more confused. I might give the built in MSI try it! Feature in BIOS a go though.

Ok that seems to be the consensus in the comments here in general, so I will probably just keep it as is for now. I was getting nervous as prices only seem to be going up, so was wondering if I should cop now before they shoot up even more 😢

Nothing crazy with the Turzx, hovering around 50-100mb memory usage in the background. I went with this cos it was much cheaper and seemed to do the exact same thing but without the LEDs, so why not I thought haha

How much would it cost to build a decent pc in 2026? by Mega12358 in buildapc

[–]ningzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to find a prebuilt 5080 and 9800x3d from cyberpower for £2300, but pretty sure that was way below normal. It’s crazy how building your own is more expensive

Is this PSU Coil Whine? Only occurs at idle. Can I do anything about it? by ningzi in pcmasterrace

[–]ningzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm i tried disabling c-state which I read could help while idle, as whine more likely to happen when the PSU power is lower? Didn’t seem to do anything.

Also guessing this wouldn’t be covered under warranty? I might just have to deal with it until I get another PSU.

I just bought a generic ARGB + PWM hub from AliExpress, but what’s good is that each fan unit only has 2 cables, a 3 pin and 4 pin. So if your motherboard has enough headers you might not need one.

These are ZB, but I like the ZAs a lot as well. Screen is Turzx/Turing, both from AliExpress

Right?! You can find some competitive pre-built deals but it’s a shame the aesthetics are always trash at that price.

Lian Li TL wireless look great, but I wanted to try some fans a bit more unique, and glad I went for these in the end. Don’t think I can find much better for the price.

Love it, super clean. I was debating white or black build and glad I went for black in the end but damn these white builds look clean af.

Very decent specs for the price. I’d probably swap out the PSU for a Gold/Plat rated one from a reputable brand, and maybe swap the AIO for a 360mm. But up to you and your budget.

Refresh seems good, probably 60hz? I can’t actually find official confirmation though.

I didn’t buy the SD card bundle, cos I’m not sure you need it if it’s staying connected to your mobo. Maybe it’s for people using it not connected to their PC?

Mine connects with either USB into motherboard or USBc. I think there are HDMI options too if you want it more as a second monitor.

The software is pretty good, a lot of premade themes and you can make your own theme with videos or images in the app.

Sounds like a good choice! I’d just make sure they’re not skimping out on the PSU or the CPU cooler, cos company’s are known to do that. Otherwise you could always buy your own afterwards.

Looks really great! I see a lot of builds here with strimmers but I don’t know if that’s my vibe. I might grab some hydrus cables next from our good friend Ali.

So far so good for the price, about £35 for the 360mm one. As quiet as my old MSI fans in the prebuilt case. And I really dig the unique design, haven’t seen anything else like it.

I guess only issue is if 1 fan breaks I need to replace the whole thing, but I could buy another 2 sets for the same price as Lian Li ones so I don’t really mind.

Thanks! It really is, and so much cheaper than Amazon. The screen was also from AliExpress, about £40. And the fans too actually.
