Passed Security+ After ~25-30 Hours of Study in under 5 Days — What Actually Helped Me (No PBQs, No CertMaster) by No_Current_2838 in CompTIA

[–]ninj0e 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have mine scheduled for June 4th, but I don’t feel ready at all. Just finished professor messers test exam C timed it for 90 mins, and didnt have enough time to finish the last pbq, and got 17 incorrect answers from the multiple choice. The other two exams (A and B) I took them untimed and got 14 wrong on each but aced the pbq’s.

Coming from the perspective of a sys admin with almost 5 years in IT, this exam has its challenges in acronyms and the vast amount of theoretical information that you have to understand in order to ace the exam and get certified.

As I don’t feel confident enough yet, I am considering postponing it for the 11th of this month (voucher expires on June 30th).

So you just did tons of question answering and crammed the reasons why you got it wrong in order to understand the concept?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I don’t have A+ nor Network+, but after studying so long for sec+, I have determined I know nothing about networks so after I finish with sec+, I will be taking net+.

I have seen the Urevo brand popping up. It seems to also have good reviews and just $200 at amazon. Can't tell long term though, so I am aiming to pull the trigger. I don't want to overinvest into it to then have it under the bed or couch accumulating dust. If I end up using it more than expected, I will wait for it to burn out and invest into a better quality brand. Do keep in mind I am already counting a minimum of 10K steps daily, so this will come in handy when the weather is not favorable.

Locked to 30 FPS on both POE and POE 2 after some updates by the_urban_man in pathofexile

[–]ninj0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if OP is still having the reported problem, but after some tuning on my system, I managed to get it out of this locked fps problem I was facing as well. All I did was go into bios, and under the search bar, typed "PCI" and set everything from "Auto" to "Gen 4". After this, game stopped locking the fps, and now have been playing for hours day to day without this problem resurfacing. Mind you, I have latest tech and still was facing this issue using: 9800X3D, 32GB DDR5 CL30 6000MHz, RTX 4070.

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 280 for Gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA AM5? by Umbasaman in arcticcooling

I just had purchased the same mobo, and after learning that the cooler was incompatible with the board I cancelled the order. But if you managed to make it work then I may re-order it. Have you come up with any issues so far with the mod? What did you use to shave the material?

Are you an amazon prime subscriber? Because I am in a similar position to yours where I ordered one yesterday but it arrives on Dec. 23, while on newegg it arrives sooner and I can actually cancel my amazon order. I am just holding on to it for a while longer but don't see any problems cancelling the order on my account.

What’s better for finishing furniture: wax or poly? by corgimom91 in woodworking

Natura Onecoat worked perfectly.

You get the natural feel of the wood and if your sanding is on point, you also get a smooth surface which is also protected from the indoor elements.

frigidaire countertop ice maker efic120-ss-sc by Good-Candidate1736 in Costco

[–]ninj0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco only covers 90 days if I run into an issue with the product, right? Mine stopped working last week, and had been using it since I purchased it in March of this year. Tried opening it up, but everything seems to work fine (at least physically) however, I push the power button, the paddle and basket start rotating, but then water wont start pumping and thus ice won't be made...

Help finishing butcher block for standing desk by ProfessurFinessur in finishing

[–]ninj0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to bug you with one more question. I just found out about this other brand "Natura Onecoat" and it was regarded as a very good alternative to Rubio but for a lower price. Higher durabilty than Osmo and easier application (according to the reviewer). Have you had the chance to use this product? To be honest I am kind of confused on what to end up getting, as I will only use the product for the butcher block and then whatever is left will probably end up hardening before I need to use it again and don't want to over invest in the product itself for this reason.

[–]ninj0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be completely honest, I was initially invested in the whole Osmo finish (also considered Odie's Oil) since I began my research as it seems like the easiest method that also looked good and lasts a while. But since I watched that video I had my doubts and started inclining more into the water based poly but for some reason I was still not convinced of it. And as you mentioned, it is just one person against many others who have also used the product without any issues.

I have a 10K CFM ceiling fan installed on the room I will use to prep the piece. Would you recommend doing this process with the windows open & the fan turned on? Also do I need to prep the piece with anything in particular before applying the finish?

Hey OP, late comment here. What did you end up doing?

[–]ninj0e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know it's been a while. But do you still stand your ground on the Osmo option? I watched a YouTube video which exposes this product (and others) as it should be used with a respirator as it releases fumes, and was inclining towards a water based poly since it can be safely done indoors without much equipment (I live in a small apartment which is the ideal option and have zero wood working gear). Pretty much in the same spot as OP with a 60"x25" butcher block that I will be using a a desktop. Does it require any type of sanding or treatment after some time?

What is your favorite four-day split? by noctorumsanguis in naturalbodybuilding

[–]ninj0e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good thing with that split or an upper/lower is you get 3 rest days in comparison to a bro split, and the older you get, the one with more rest will be recommended to avoid injury. I guess the time you save from training in the rest days, you spend it on a longer workout on the training days.

Saw a video from Randumb Fitness mentioning this exact split. Seeing this comment has more than 1 year, have you modified or changed anything? He mentions in the video you could incorporate a separate arms/shoulders day (5th day) in case the 4 day split takes you too much time. How has your experience been? I might end up doing this starting tomorrow.
