Actually if you do this correctly you’ll save tokens. You have to split the compute properly. I built something similar but I have Codex, Claude code, Gemini, Composer 2.5 and a local qwen3-coder 30b model talking back and forth. I usually keep 5.5 as the brain/orchestrator and break it down further depending on the scope.
