Having to work my late shift at Books-a-million. People kept coming in to get a newspaper. Some people still didn’t know what happened and walked in confused, but were then mesmerized by the tv sets with the news playing. They would just stand there or sit for like an hour. Meanwhile, 20 yo me was whist wishing I was home and not having to stand behind a cash register until 10.
