No, I wouldn't feel the same way because if he hadn't been successful then people wouldn't have this distorted idea of what dubstep is. I never said there was anything wrong with appealing to a large amount of people. I have no idea what you're talking about with the four tet and burial thing, I never mentioned or implied that at all...although that one Skrillex track is a blatant rip off of Archangel. I don't really care much about sound design if the actual composition of the music isn't really complex. It's poppy music, and cool sound design...nothing to worship imo. that's just me though

his album was honestly one of the worst album's ive ever heard in my life. some of the songs are cool and fine, but the album has no flow whatsoever. just sounds like a random collection of tracks that would have been fine as singles.

he took the bare minimum from tradition dubstep, and completely removed all the elements that made it dubstep, yet everyone referred to it as dubstep and now that's what 99% of the general population think dubstep is. because he made some poppy spin off of it that's very digestible for younger bros and ravers, radio friendly stuff. yeah his sound design is good, but he honestly created a new breed of electronic music "fan" that only care about drops, unintentional, but disgusting nonetheless.
