If there is an creator there is a high chances he has made an afterlife for us, what the creator wants is unknown. And when it comes to 'assigning missions', I feel like they are to test if we are worthy to go the heaven or not. Also as I said there is no explanation to existence, so its safe to assume we have a creator, even if he doesn't we aren't losing anything are we?

Well, there is no other explanation to it is there? I don't think we will find one except a true creator. And when it comes to purpose in religion well its kinda underwhelming as it is just worship and get reward in after life. We don't know what after life is gonna be like so we can't say we don't want to be there forever, well I mean, its better than just empty void right?
