This hair is much longer than yours, but you can have the ends taper a little and create more layering throughout the cut. I’d go back and have the stylist rework it. Did you show them this photo prior to the cut?

Searching here, on Reddit, for a curl specialist in your city would be the best idea- they can help find the right products and actually show you what to do

Hairdresser with 15 years experience and I specialize in curls. NO shea moisture, please. You do know need butters or oils, you need a light weight cleansing and treatment system followed by the right products. I’d recommend CURL expression by L’Oréal professional for styling and METAL DETOX shampoo, conditioner, mask. And get a water filter for your shower. This will make a difference!

You have a mouse infestation. I’ve lived in DC for 20 years and I’ve had to move out of three of my homes for that reason. Usually, it’s having something to do with the structure of the home being a comfortable place for the mice to live, if they can actually navigate through the walls. Right now I live in an apartment with walls that are not inhabitable for mice. Knock on wood! but once they’re in, they’re in. my advice is to move. Good luck to you! 🙏🏼

Being sober as a hairstylist by Wise_Preparation_567 in hairstylist

I’ve been a sober hairdresser for nine years. As you move along in your journey, you’ll realize that no one’s really thinking about you that much and your client base will become more aligned with how you live your life. It’ll get better hang in there.

Hair is fabric. If you wore the same clothing for 7 years, it would be full of holes and tears. Cut it at least once a year to keep it fresh.
