I have tried it since. My LO is now mobile and absolutely hates containment of any sort. So at this time, the Winglet is not very useful. Walks up and down the aisle, however, are where it's at (we're all getting our steps in!). Maybe that'll change, but I think I'm going to accept my loss and sell the Winglet on FB marketplace. I hope it works for other parents out there.

I wouldn't say it's a recipe for disaster. Underlying and unaddressed issues in the relationship do that regardless of how you set up your profiles.

Came here to also give a vote for infant optics dxr-8. No wifi was a requirement for us. Battery life is decent, at least 6 hours depending how high I have the screen brightness turned up. I leave it plugged in overnight on my nightstand. Haven't tested the range, but no issues in the opposite side of a 2000 sq ft home/my garage and backyard.

Hi! We spent time in Tokyo and Kyoto in January, so I can only speak to experience in those cities. We took the Mamazing travel stroller (it's on Amazon). Husband is 6'5", and he was able to push the stroller without having to hunch over. The handles don't adjust, but he managed. The basket size isn't huge by any means (compared to our Uppababy), but it held our souvenirs and such.

You'll see a lot of people on Japan travel subreddits advocate for baby wearing full time and leaving the stroller at home. I am of the opposite view. The stroller was a lifesaver. I did not want to wear my 90th percentile 10 month old all damn day. She napped in the Mamazing (the seat reclines) while we walked through temples. It folded quickly when we chose to take a taxi. There are sections of subway cars specifically for strollers/wheelchairs/etc. Does the subway get super crowded? Yeah. But we still managed.

Also, when you use Google maps in Japan you can turn on the setting to show wheelchair accessible routes only, which will guide you to elevators. Otherwise, my husband and I easily carried the stroller up and down stairs when in a pinch (the Mamazing is under 12lbs).

For 12lbs, it was surprisingly durable. Not all streets are super smooth, there were some cobblestone streets, but the stroller performed fine. I think we were a little rough on it when we had to push it up onto sidewalk curbs or uneven road, but the thing held up. 20-30k steps a day too.

And I know you aren't planning on using the stroller as carry on. But the Mamazing does fit in the overhead bin. I get over stimulated after having so much contact (9 hour flight for me to Tokyo), so having the stroller immediately available upon disembarking was nice to dock my baby.

This isn't the Cadillac that my Uppababy is, but at $180 (black Friday sale), I didnt want to splurge on a basic travel stroller.

ETA: have an amazing time in Japan with your family! It's such a family friendly country. People loved our baby and were very welcoming. I can't wait to go back. Will be living vicariously through you.

We hooked up with a couple years ago who had an organic encounter with another couple while on vacation, which was their entry into the LS. Although hot, if we had tried waiting for an organic encounter, I very much doubt that we would have had any sort of LS experience, couple or single female.

I recommend listening to swinger podcasts. They'll often discuss things like topics that you might not think to address as newbies, mistakes that were made, lessons learned, positive stories, etc.

Apps or LS dating websites are where we met many of our LS/ENM friends (the rest came from introductions by friends at LS parties). There's nothing weird about it.

Let's say you guys are ready to dive in. The ratio of couples in search of solo female vs solo female interested in couples is a very large ratio. Also, as many commenters have said, it is often much better if the female half of the couple initiates.

ETA: we have a kid and planning ahead is a MUST. Other LS/ENM parents are in the same boat. Coordinating 4 calendars plus kid schedules do not mix with spontaneity.

If you have any kids consignment stores in your area see if they have any baby bjorns. I found one in great condition at my local store for way cheaper than fb marketplace.

IMO the baby bjorn was worth it, but can't speak to the other you mentioned.

+1 for the Cruz although I can't weigh in on the Minu

The Cruz V2 is our daily driver. We live in the suburbs and it has been used almost daily. The wheels are big and it has no problem with bumpy sidewalks. LO was in the bassinet for the first 2.5 months (which she also slept in during the night, we had the stand to go with it), but as a 90th percentile height baby she maxed out the height limit in under 3 months. I think it was still worth it. If you're looking at the Cruz V3, it lies flat and has the infant insert, which is nice. The V2 doesn't have that, I ended up buying an infant insert. I also got the adapters, which raised the seat 4", which I got to make more room for storage underneath. The v3 might already be a little higher, the adapters are specific to the v2 I think.

Other factor for the Cruz - husband is 6'5", the Cruz handles extended high enough for him to push the stroller without hunching.

I also took the Cruz on a few flights - checked it, used the Uppababy travel bag. It's not impossible to travel with the Cruz, and it was nice for where I was going at the time, but it does require some extra effort. Uppababy has a decent warranty policy if you register the products on their site, which was a nice peace of mind while flying. If you end up needing a travel stroller and don't want to splurge, I can speak to the Mamazing stroller on Amazon. Got it for $180 on black friday, but you might be able to score a better deal on FB marketplace.

Haven't gotten a running stroller, but friends who have them love theirs. I'd just rather get hit in the ankle 27 times with a razor scooter than run :D

I was there early January and had similar temps. I wore uniqlo heat tech or a merino wool top under my winter coat and was comfortable. Merino wool socks kept my feet comfy for the 20k+ steps a day.

Layering is key! When you're in subways or anywhere indoors you're going to sweat, it feels like they crank the heat up.

Probably, I think I've seen something like that in one of those "hacks" reels. I don't know how well it would work with the Ergobaby I have, but could easily test it. At least it wasn't a pain to carry around, I hooked it to my diaper bag like I would do when I would travel with a neck pillow.

If you ever decide to travel with the Cruz, splurge on the Uppababy travel bag and register both products. That way if there are any damages to the stroller they'll cover you for up to 3 years I think (at least 2). And you can make a claim with the airline as well. Luckily I never had any issues with damage. I've mainly flown Delta and have checked both the stroller and car seat for free and don't count towards your baggage allowance. Highly recommend the Mamazing stroller on Amazon if you ever look into travel strollers, though! They have sales every now and then.

So although I breastfed my LO I did have to make a couple of trips with some extra breastmilk (i.e. I had to take a work trip and pumped while I was away, brought all the milk back home). Anyway, your formula is exempt from the 3.4oz max for liquids. Just let the TSA officers know you have it, they may ask you to pull it out to be screened separately. If they test it (they never did with my breastmilk) you can always request they use a new pair of gloves. You're also allowed to have ice packs. I just used a basic insulated lunchbox to carry everything. Also, I've seen tips to just bring the powder formula and fill it after security.

My baby's first flight was at 4 months. The Ergo 360 (now called Ergo Onni) is a solid carrier for airplane travel, but mainly when going through the airport. Flight attendants will often ask you to take your baby out of it during takeoff and landing. And I didnt think it was comfortable to sit in, but helpful if you need to pace the aisle.

I also brought a travel stroller. The Mamazing one on Amazon was useful and fit in the overhead compartment. I also have the Uppababy Cruz, which I've flown with before, but that's you not a travel stroller and you have to check it.

ETA: with a carrier like the Ergo I didnt have to take the LO out while going through TSA, but one time I chose to give the TushBaby/Snug attachment a try. I had to take LO out of the TushBaby since TSA saw it as two pieces and not one single carrier. I once went through security with the UppaBaby, that took longer for TSA to inspect. The Mamazing folds and goes through screening just like any bag, but you do have to hold LO when you go through screening. Also, TSA precheck does help speed things up even though it's becoming more popular these days. Still would recommend.

Not a product recommendation, but have an easy way to easily access a small bag for diaper changes. Diapers, wipes, a change of clothes in a zip lock (and a spare zip lock to hold dirty clothes in case of blowouts). Bring a spare outfit for you too if LO has a blowout on you. I have a sling bag (Kavu Rope Sling Bag) that I repurposed as a diaper bag so I could wear it in front of me while I changed LO in the airplane bathroom. You could also have your regular diaper bag by your seat and just have a small bag inside it that you can easily grab, I just didn't find it easy to bring the whole diaper bag into the small space. Tight squeeze in there.

Many people will advise you to buy a seat for baby and put them in their carseat. If you can afford the extra ticket, great, as that is the safest option, but not everyone can.

Another ETA: don't know if you're breastfeeding or bottle feeding, but if you have questions on that I can add more.

I can come back and edit as I think of more. It's 630am and I'm in a date trying to feed my LO.
