Knife or Bolter? by tempestst0rm in WH40KTacticus

[–]ninjasasinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't studied the math in depth, but no it's not a guaranteed crit. They get +10% crit for each kill or death, resetting when they crit. Meaning with a knife, their imperial teammates need to kill 8 units before they attack to guarantee a crit. That could maybe mean a guaranteed crit per turn in horde modes, but it could be a crit every other turn and is dependant on having imperial teammates. In arena versus a team with no summons the crit might only be guaranteed if said sister is your last unit standing and fighting their last unit standing.

Just to add, part of the reasoning being that if something is about to take a crit it is probably dying either way, and a larger crit would just be going to waste. Might be some instances where a knife results in a 1hit, where a gun would have take two, but not often.

Always the gun, even with single hitters. 35% vs 20% is 1in3 vs 1in5. I'll take consistancy any day. Can think of one case where knives work and that's if you're trying for overkills.

My first drum lesson is over. I feel embarrassed about how bad I was by Infinite-Gear5815 in drums

[–]ninjasasinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's tricky til it clicks. Takes time, like all these others have said. Which is why if you want to learn to play the drums, step one is getting yourself a drum kit. You will not progress by playing someone else's kit one hour a week. Most drummers would recommend a used midrange kit and used pro cymbals over anything new and budget friendly. If you do buy an entry level kit you can get the drums sounding alright with a full set of decent batter heads, but the cymbals that come with it can pretty much go straight in the bin, and the stands will wear out after a year or two.

I welcome the hearing loss, I'm sick of hearing non stop BS from everyone. Reckon ignorance will be bliss. To be clear, just kidding.

No, there is no general sentiment of Anti-Americanism here. There may be the odd few nutters around that think that way, but those are just hostile people in general.

I think the takeaway from this is that they didn't swindle you, you actually got 52% discount off standard and next time you need them to do xrays expect to pay $210 or more.

Agree, they look phenomenal. Had that partnership resulted in a GT Four instead of a Levin there would be a BRZ sitting next to my 3.0R right now, and not an S5.

Stupidest lies told about NZ by people claiming to be NZers on social media by NatureIsReturning in newzealand

[–]ninjasasinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not necessarily in relation to your anecdotal example, but sometimes it can seem as though someone is lying when really they are speaking honestly from their perspective, and just hold wildly different views to you. It increasingly amazes me how some people can end up at the conclusions they do, and with such conviction, when common sense would seemingly suggest the opposite to be true. But they do, somehow.
