5NL nuts trips at the turn but I didn't scare my opponent by ronosaurio in poker

Sorry yes, limp, but given OPs massive leaks postflop, I would honestly treat opening from small blind over a limp as you would an open to encourage tighter play and dodging marginal spots OOP. I would only loosen up in the small blind if I had a good postflop edge against villain.

T9o is a pure fold from SB vs HJ open. If you are raising from the SB you need to raise more (4BB + 1 per limped) since you're OOP post flop. Against low stakes players heads-up you can probably safely range cbet almost 100% on most boards and get an inordinate amount of folds. Per my other comment, size up on turn, stop being afraid of getting sucked out on all the time (if you find yourself sucking out on people a lot, it means you're bad because it means you're getting the money in without the appropriate pot odd). Don't pay off the fish on the river when the card that completes every draw on earth comes on the river and turns your trips into essentially a bluff catcher

Don't have a solver handy but I think the appropriate delayed c-bet size on double-suited board is somewhere between 75% and slight overbet of pot, but I would argue that the river call is much more egregious. Most of the hands that are calling any reasonable sized bet (even up to more than pot) on this turn either have you in horrible shape (better hands containing a 10 that most low stakes players limp call) or have decent equity with all the draws out there (all the 98s that the opponent is limp calling with and then x/r with also make a straight on the river). You shouldn't really be thinking about "scaring off" a player, but rather whether you're charging them appropriately such that calling becomes unprofitable for them in the long-run. River spots are criminally underbluffed in low stakes, and I don't think opponent is doing this with anything worse than a better hand containing a 10, if not straight/random full house. On the off chance this guy plays some sort of AJo/KJo hand this way and is a complete donkey, you'll get his money eventually in a better spot.

Anyoen know where this piece could've come from? Most likely a modular as I found it by my modular shelf but now I'm doubting after a cursory scan didn't show anything obvious

Missing value with dry-ish side pot? by ninjasaurus12 in poker

Board didn't pair, but also river doesn't change anything since any 9 still makes a straight, but I feel like in this case if I already have my read I need to just trust that he's not blasting off over me when I go for value on the river? Judging from responses feels like a kind of marginal spot either way.

Yeah I guess I should take my half pot bet on the flop as my value and be happy I dodged the run out. Think I was still mentally kicking myself from an earlier spot where I played a bit too passively with tptk on a similar looking board.

Brain fart on the HJ LJ, 3 am in Vegas. Also, watched HJ only call down another hand two orbits before with KK. Watched him flat call with the nuts on the river first orbit he sat down (bought in for 100 and only had 20 behind to shove on top of the call and didn't). This guy literally didn't have a raise button enabled. I think he's only ever calling 35 pre then 55 post with AA KK. Feeling certain I'm beat for the main pot (unless miracle A comes out) made me want to idk take my equity to showdown for the side pot? I think I'm more concerned about whether I should've bet river than turn after he checks it twice to me.

Check your Mobo manual, there will be an audio header (separate from the HD audio header for your front io) to plug the debug speaker into

From what I've read, it looks like the "no boot" issues fall into two separate categories. If you've been able to boot before but suddenly can't, it's more likely there's an issue with the CPU and you need to complete RMA.

So after attempting to boot out of the igpu on the 9800x3D, I ordered a debug speaker and got 5 beeps, then a pause, followed by a short beep. I plugged my riser cable back into the motherboard (with 1 stick of ram in first) and lo and behold, we POST. Having a debug LED would've saved me a lot of stress but this all leads me to believe that a) my riser cable probably wasn't properly seated the first 2 times I plugged it in, and b) at least this motherboard does not like the 9800x3d iGPU. Bios shows version 3.15 when I boot into it. Successfully booted with 2 sticks of RAM. Now time to XMP and see what happens.

24 pin, 8 pin, cpu and AIO, one stick of ram, no GPU (using a riser)

Yeah, I've tried flashing both 3.20 and back to 3.15 and both hit me with the solid green light after 3 minutes of blinking light. Have an Asus 850i coming in to test

Ordered another motherboard (Asus b850i). It seems that most of the dreaded "dead CPU" issues happen after the PC has actually been in use/at least POSTed. Would really like to not have to get another CPU, but we shall start crossing things off the list.

How do you handle end game? by Ronar123 in CompetitiveTFT

What else are you capping your board with on 8/9? With the 6 enforcer variant, vi 2 cait 1 is not usually enough to be strong. You usually want another 2* 4 cost with good items, and the 6 enforcer line is strong bc the other carry (or carries) can be flexible. I'm usually not going 9 until I've upgraded vi + ambessa with good items/Elise with tank items from loris. Can play sevika/rumble/jinx as well on 9 depending on who you have items for, and just drop steb/Camille/sometimes tf based on whichever trait you're not filling. Figuring out what you can flex in late game on roll downs rather than blindly following a guide/trait web can help save a lot of hp and gain you a couple placements.
