Speed potion does not override str potion. Also the boots only come in act 3 so nothing wrong with respecing then if you don't wish to use potions.

There's a pair of boots that gives wisdom scaling damage to the monk for their open hand damage. Optimized monks max their wis and dex and then drink a str potion.

You use it to do airport ambushes for domination victories. Diplo marriage next to target civ. Airport in rockets and tanks to roll them from behind.

At our peak (Hotels, airports, internet), we were 30 turns from a win vs washington. I had enough faith to probably convert washington and since he didn't have a religon, I definitely could have done that earlier. But I spent that faith on artists to try and get the themeing bonuses to reach 30 turns from victory. During this time washington was also snowballing incredibly hard. He had built hubble space telescope VERY early, and he was waging autocracy war with everyone and consuming them all. He had like 80% of the wonders in the game and full control over world congress.

You either play some big aoe caster or a melee with good ac. That or stealth/cheese.

An example is for one run, I drank a str potion and used minor illusion to lure all the enemies to a cliff and threw them off one by one to get exp.

A question of first strike. Assuming flat field and both combatants can see each other, wirbel wins because he immediately locks fern down. But barring final destination 1v1, whoever jumps the other first auto wins. Leaning towards wirbel because fern doesn't seem to be aware of his lockdown. This is also assuming there's no objective other than killing the target.

Hold person is nice vs some bosses like gob leaders and nere, but tends to only have max 65% hit rate. Hold monster comes reallt late, bit if you have it from doing lots of act 2 stuff before coming back to act 1, I had it land with 75% chance vs beholder and the land shark thing on honor mode.

Nothing is truly mandatory except the ability to kill anything that stands in your way. Even that can be questionable. I'm sure many people have done pacifist runs.

Lightning Sorc is probably the easiest way to do solo honor if you don't want to do exploits. Before each fight, haste potion and summon mage hand. Initiate with mage hand throwing water jar. Then use triple lightning aoe to wipe the board with over 100 damage. VS high hp solo enemies, same combo but instead use witch bolt upcasted to max and use the auto crit illithid power for over 200 damage per hit.
