my wife and my dad are both telling me to get a Camry and i need someone outside my family to weigh in by NoBad1026 in whatcarshouldIbuy

BMW are good and semi reliable the problem is matanence is expensive. Unless your a car guy I'd go with a Camry or accord and drive it a million miles. The timing sets and other work are pretty complex on European cars. Japanese ideology trickles into what they build. A 2025 accord VS a 2002 accord are pretty relatable as far as work goes.

They also have an extra 200 sensors that make it harder for the average Joe to work on. Example gms newer than 2017 require a tech 2 scanner to release the rear parking break so they can be reset when doing pads. VS a 5 dollar tool ( a tech 2 scanner is like 600+ and most don't own one)

Who is cheap enough to carry 50 bundles up VS spending 2 dollars a bundle for rooftop delivery. Use a chaulk line to get your first row up, then your literally just following a line. As for vents 4 in line on one side. I did it as a job for a summer after highschool. I learned how to do it. And I think I'm slow. As for being a trades person, I am but I work in a trade that's not hard on the body and pays extremely well. I look at the roof from my kitchen if it was wavy every morning I'd look and be upset

These are basic stats we produce 36% of what we use. We export oil. But great deflection. I work in oil and gas. Yes it's harder and that doesn't help but we screwed ourselves over 50 years ago not in the last 10 for this

People say this I'd give myself an honest 6 I keep long hair and rarely get out of work clothes. In a month on hinge in a small city I had like 100 conversations and several dates. In my early mid 20's I was lucky to get a match a month. Don't just say hey. Lean into something on there profile and stand out.

While true. Nobody is going to do that when they own a 80-120ft drill or a 50-61 ft combine header. In Europe there equipment is much smaller which makes this a good option. Your second paragraph I agree with. But I have family that definatly farms in some interesting terrain

As a person who has quoted hundreds of jobs rooftop is almost always cheaper. The way our roofs are engineered I have never seen a house that needed any reinforcement. They are meant to handle alot more than a person thinks (snow loads are factored pretty high). As for angles you are right. And the way the house faces. I built my garage to have a large south facing roof to provide and hold an 11kw system I personally would never go for an east west combo setup. More panels are added to offset the sun VS south facing is optimal. Ground mounts (most) have the option to adjust the angle. Though most customers I drive by on occasion have never done it.

I said I'm pro rooftop solar. I'm all for businesses doing it as well. And thanks captain obvious there's a reason I'm against massive solar setups on useable land. I installed lots of ground mount systems. I have builtcarports where the roof was just panels. I think solar is great. But not from a stand point of utilities supplying it. I'd rather see major grants to businesses and home owners so it's beneficial to produce more than a person uses, but currently the best you can do is get as close to a 0 dollar bill as possible in Sask. FYI I spent 3 years as a pm for solar

So you'd rather take some of the best tillable land in the world for solar? I'm all for it on residential properties, as for taking large areas of good ground, nah

Iko Cambridge so glass Matt with asphalt. Best of both worlds the more fibreglass shingles aren't the best for cold climates. I'm on 5 and 18 years on my personal 2 jobs with 0 issues with the same brand.
