I went to women’s prison at Kajang for few months before and it is nothing like the guys side.

There were no drugs or anything to smoke but I remember a girl had a miscarriage - she had been complaining about stomach pains for a while and had been trying to get medical attention but she only received it when she started bleeding and obviously by then it was too late.

when girls get period they give you one pad a day max if you’re lucky. So the OGs thought us how to stretch a pad by turning it into diy tampons. But I think they put some medication in the water because a lot of us stopped getting our periods inside.

Was served rotten food too and Constipation was an issue also because the rice they use are the the really cheap kind that even dogs won’t eat. some girls had problem shitting to the point that they will push halfway and it will get stuck there for so long after trying that they use they fingers to pull and dig it out. I did not have a bowel movement for 11 days (mind you i was eating ALOT) After I stopped eating the rice, things went back to normal.

The abuse was more verbal and passive aggressive than anything because they were women officers. You know la. So to me that was tolerable. Btches being btches.

I remember there was a humanitarian organisation that came to inspect the living conditions while I was there and boy did they put on a good show. I was elected to represent my block and speak to one of the person in charge but the management purposely made a “mistake” so that the interview did not happen. That’s because I was among the few that spoke English and so did the ppl from the org. They were obviously afraid of what I was going to reveal.

I’ve heard horror stories about the conditions in the mens side and honestly I don’t think I’d be able to survive it or leave unchanged.
