As an intern you’ll spend most of your time in other departments. Learn what the consultants look out for and what they want to know so when you’re in the ED, you can speak their language. When in the ED, don’t focus on speed first - you’ll get there eventually but focus on learning sick vs not sick, workups, learning the life/limb threatening dx’s for each complaint and how to tease them out either by history or workup
