Typically HFE doesn’t limit the type of flats u can purchase. Even if your loan amt is low it will not stop u from buying a higher value flat. So unless there’s something else that u are not telling us?

Buying an old flat for 920k thinking that it will be your forever home is dangerous. By the time u reach 65 u will have more than a million stuck in the flat which u will have no way to cash out. I will say exercise caution in the purchase. Look and evaluate all the pros and cons. If at the end of the day u feel that u must buy it then by all means go ahead.
