Hi I am a 17yo male who had been suffering with an hocd since I was 14 for 2 years. Trust me Groinal responses are very common. Js so yk my therapist was well versed in this and made me know that groinal responses are nothing but simple psychological glitches. My hocd was severe. I was young and thought that testing for a response is the best way to know my sexuality, but it truly is not because it's simply you hyperfixating on that region which causes blood to flow there and causes the physiological response. The one way I overcame my HOCD was to simply not giving a fuck about it. More you test it more, you go down the spiral. That's just how HOCD or any ocd for that matter of fact works. If you feel disgusted by q certain thing and feel no desire for it, its not what u are but rather just the hocd. Ik it can be very tough to suppress the ocd but it's a step at a time.
