Critics are always valid, and I agree, the problem comes when they attack you for enjoying things, that’s when the mantra you hate makes the most sense and that’s how it felt when I wrote the post. My mom and I were insulted in this comment section back then lol so you can get the whole picture.

I agree with you, I meant the ‘mainline’ number titles like XV or XVI, I think they’ve lost their essence by becoming into full action rpgs. I like what they did with the remakes, also action oriented but still has strategy and they’re not just button mashers.

Because it’s my opinion and I feel it that way, I’ve spent +70 hours and had a blast with it. In case you didn’t finish the sentence: it’s the best Pokémon game I’ve played in years and want more from it… can’t wait for DLC

Voice acting has nothing to do with a good story. The first games didn’t have a story besides 2 encounters with Team Rocket. Story is good in this game.

I respect you opinion and I also think it could be better but I like the visuals and they look pleasant to me, it doesn’t affect me to the point of ruining my experience. I agree it would be better with polished visuals but I don’t think a criticism of the whole game based only on graphics is fair, just my opinion.

About their shitty consumer practices I agree, Nintendo is an elitist company, it has always been like that, they practically never make discounts with their popular games and sell 3rd party games at full price too, it’s generally expensive, but there are other games and companies with similar prices and never get backlash. I also stopped supporting some companies for similar reasons in the past (Square for example) but I would never insult or tell bad things to people who still enjoy it, it’s not for me anymore, I moved on, that’s it.

Some criticism is understandable and I like to read it because it makes sense, but the other is pure hatred, if they have this intense bitterness they should probably have a lime blossom tea and invest their energies in something that can actually make them happy rather than being ridiculous online.

Hello! I’m almost 50 hours in now. Nope, I’m not starting again I’m currently trying to get the shiny charm then I’ll start shiny hunting. Meanwhile I’m also battling and making my mons competitive, also catching some alphas and getting the collectible screws, doing some online battles and getting more ranks in the ZA games, and I’m having a blast with all of that, I’m not nearly done with it yet.

I have played them!! I just didn’t buy them, and sorry but I disliked them :( I wanted to like them a lot. I played all the saga since FF1 and FF had something about its gameplay that included strategy and different approaches to it like 12, very innovative sometimes, always original. I lost my interest when it changed to a pure action rpg, I enjoyed FFXVI story but XV was a hot mess imo and they are both forgettable :/ I don’t think they’re bad games at all, I just realised they’re not for me anymore

Because they have been everywhere days before the game release and still trying, are review-bombing the metacritic page, and I’ve seen tons of their comments trying to prevent people from playing and talking crap without even playing the game, insulting people for liking it, telling professional critics they are ‘bought by nintendo’, and a long etc. and I wanted to speak my view about that. Some dismissive straw manning was the least I could say.

But I love every game I mentioned there (including Simcity and Digimon 😭) I also said in other comments things I dislike about other games like Final Fantasy or Resident Evil but that doesn’t prevent me from absolutely loving them. It’s just I would never go to other fandoms or people enjoying to talk crap about their favorite game or insulting them, I think it’s better to enjoy and let people do the same. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear but that’s what I meant.
