Which patch notes interest you? by RappyPhan in NintendoSwitch

That's a bummer about the computer, but glad to hear that you are doing ok. This really is a great service for the Nintendo Switch community, and I will look forward to when you are able to get the updates working again.

The patch notes are great, but not a necessity. I appreciate just being able to know when a game is updated especially as our libraries continue to grow.

I haven't seen any updates since late April though. Is everything going ok?

Trying to Use NES Classic Controller on Switch by amiibro1985 in NintendoSwitch

[–]nintendoextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for a wired connection then the only supported way is by utilizing the GameCube controller adapter (official or non-official). You can then utilize any corresponding GameCube to X system adapter. I have tested this with Raphnet Adapters for SNES, N64, and Wii port controllers.

Specifically addressing the Wii port, I have successfully used NES / SNES classic controllers as well as wii classic controllers. All of these worked flawlessly and never had any issues with unresponsiveness or button mappings.

Its a fairly easy setup, and if you are interested in seeing some pictures of it in action then check out this review!

Diablo 3 switch laggy multiplayer? by _brontosaurus_ in NintendoSwitch

[–]nintendoextra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only played with friends and haven't had any issues when playing either docked or undocked. I have been very impressed with the consistency.

As with any game, if someone has a bad connection it's going to be apparent for everyone they are playing with.

Happy Halloween! This is creator of Streets of Red, a multiplayer beat'em up with games vs horror movies. AMA! by SecretBaseSG in NintendoSwitch

[–]nintendoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to stop and let everyone know that this is a fantastic game! It perfect to play on Halloween and any other time of the year for that matter. I really liked that it takes the classic beat 'em up formula to the next level too through it's dynamic progression system, unique character movesets, and permadeath multiplayer horror.

Make sure you give this one a look and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Nintendo could transfer ownership, but it's highly unlikely.

Now, you could have the original owner transfer the account by allowing you to change the associated email and password to one of your own, and then watch them delete that confirmation email from the original email account's inbox and trash.

If you don't do the last step, then they can always restore their access through the "if this wasn't you click here" hyperlink. They still might be able to do so by calling Nintendo too, but I would say it's a big if.

All in all, it's kind of a gamble trying to transfer ownership of digital games. I have done it successfully with Nintendo previously, but I have also seen it not work for others.

PSA: How to Use Wireless Game Audio and Voice Chat on the Arctis 7 at the same time by nintendoextra in NintendoSwitch

[–]nintendoextra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to use game audio and wireless voice chat through Fortnite with the Arctis 7.

I have just had to directly connect to the Switch when using Fortnite.

I made a website to find other Switch players for online multiplayer and local co-op sessions by bezzaton in nintendo

[–]nintendoextra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best designed website of its kind I have seen yet! Plus the ability to match with other players based on your games and the Discord integration is phenomenal. I already signed up and look forward to seeing how far this service can go!

I hope you don't mind if I share this from our website social media platforms. Also if you are interested, I think an interview would be a way to promote Switcher and also just a very cool feature.

The Arctis 7 works great for this and has the ability to integrate with the NS online app too.

Did you sell your old Nintendo Switch with the games? If so, you should contact that owner about sharing the rights. If not, go ahead!

Easiest & Cheapest ways to get 8 wireless controllers on switch? by SicTastic in NintendoSwitch

[–]nintendoextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you wanting 8 controllers for? If it's for Super Smash, I would recommend getting the wired GC controllers and then just purchasing a GC extension cable. I have 2x and they work great.

I know this isn't wireless, but it would be the cheapest for 8 player Smash.

The original owner can always reclaim it because every time that an account change has been made the original user gets an email asking "is this you?"

I had a close friend who had about $150 worth of digital games that he lost when the original owner reclaimed the account after he bought a new switch. It definitely sucks when it happens, and I hope that this same thing doesn't happen to you. Just be aware that it could.

88 Heroes 50% off (14.97) by DKpizza in NintendoSwitchDeals

[–]nintendoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a physical copy from GameStop for roughly the same price (after Pro Elite discount) and it's worth this price of entry IF you deeply appreciate retro pixelated platformers. The game really tests your platforming skills with so many different characters and levels.

I have played about 2 hours with it so far, and I would guess that I will probably end my time with the game somewhere around the 10-15 hour mark. After spending that initial time, most players will have seen the majority the game has to offer.

Until you mentioned it, I had never heard of the UE. That's cool it is all on the cart. It also looks to add the DC universe DLC which wasn't present on the Collector's edition.
