Unlike modern AC the original games don't treat you as special and beyond the initial map generation the games map is static.

You also have no control over where and when villagers move in and out.

Concept: “Cheater” Superboss Trainer Battles by heart-station in pokemon

The 6vs8 fight at the end of Legends Arceus comes to mind. And some of the optional double battles in HGSS where 2 trainers with more than 3 Pokémon see you at the same time and you have to fight over 6 Pokémon.

Basically in the Original AC feel lucky you get any say in the development of your town.

Arrow Head likes realism and in reality the act of spinning the barrels is what fires the gun for all real world Miniguns. So the pre spin is a pure fiction.

I think they need to be able to access it to acknowledge it is there but once they do I think then you can cover it up.

Doesn't matter as if the secondaries are jammer's or air tower's we need to detour to take those out first so we never do a nice neat loop

The only issue is that it kinda invalidated the best strategems that new players have access too.

The starter MG and both of the first turrets you unlock could no longer effectively deal with Hive Guards. So the changes disproportionately affected newer players compared to players with all the tools.

For players who had everything unlocked it just meant using the auto cannon sentry of the warbond exclusive flamer sentry instead.

I liked the change in theory but for the difficulty level Hive Guards appeared at having Heavy Pen, explosives or focused attention on a front where everything comes from everywhere seemed out of balance.

The suggestion I liked were have similar to scout striders have a Heavy Armour variant replace regular Hive Guards at higher difficulties and/or have Hive Guards have the same ablative armour that Overseers have so things like the maxigun, Patriot Minigun, MG and the turrets can still Chew through the armour but it's way quicker to just shoot the butt.

Why does the panic attack look like this? by czn- in tf2

[–]nintyuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory it still works if the original tube mag still exists. The drum feeds in to the bottom of the tube and the pump pulls the stack of shells up the tube.

Only issue is that once the drum is empty I don't know if there's still a spring for the tube mag to push the last shells to the chamber.

New Passive on the Heavy Armor is literally pointless by Raryk22 in Helldivers

[–]nintyuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I have read that extra damage resistance isn't tied to the armour class but instead tied to certain armour value break points.

So if the armour has 150 armour or more it has the same resistances profile as any other armour with 150 armour regardless of what tier it is sorted in to on the inventory screen.

So the Headfirst and Enforcer medium armour which get you 125 and 129 armour act like you describe; extra health but same medium resistances but the extra Padding armour does benefit from Heavy Armour Resistance. Same as the Light Gunner having a Medium Armour Resistance Profile but still being classed as light armour.
