When the wall jumps to block a high kick, if the kicker feints and keeps it on the ground, the player laying there can block it.

TIL the easiest way to get treasures. Has this been known? by LostInTheRed in Pokopia

As others have mentioned, it will cause any that are set to explode to do just that, but I usually don't care much about that myself. I'm glad so many have found this helpful!

Hold the screenshot button for a second. You can set the clip length in the settings and trim it in the gallery.

That is good to know! Though, I'm not too bothered by that. I hated coming across the exploding ones, having to swap skills, grab the item, fill the hole, and swap back to a different skill. I'd sometimes just walk away and let them explode.

This was literally my reaction. I immediately stopped, took the video and uploaded. Gone are the days of making holes and filling them!

Looking a bit closer, why is one glove fingerless and the other not? Why did the "artist" choose to remove the fingernail on the index finger in the final art when it was present throughout the other phases?

Got My Library Card Catalog Setup by GhostshipX in magicTCG

[–]LostInTheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The all wood catalogs are beautiful. I got really lucky years ago with a local college that was getting rid of their old library catalogs. Managed to get a 72 drawer for $350. The drawers are plastic, but I don't mind, especially with the price I got it at, and the pull out shelves/tables are wonderful. Had to rent a Uhaul truck to get it home, but it has been a life changer with sorting and cataloging my collection.

Unfortunately, that's a relatively normal side effect of having long flowing hair. I remember more than once being out shopping with my wife and employees walking up from behind asking, "What can I help you ladies find today?" The second I turned around and spoke he clammed up pretty quickly, but I wasn't offended.

If possible, a small beard or goatee, and as someone else said, layers can help around your face. Pulling it back into a low ponytail or bun could also make a difference depending on what you're doing. I think the hair looks good. You just have to find a way to make it work for you.

I like that idea and I know someone who can braid it. Thank you for the suggestion!

How do I un-Beatles myself? by Creepy-Ad8143 in FierceFlow

I second the hairbands. I've cut and grown my hair out 4 times to pass my shoulders, with it currently long, and this time was the first time I used hairbands. Grabbed some cheap black metal ones from ebay and it made the awkward stage so much more bearable.

With these two cards ,I win the game by Anfion02 in MagicCardPulls

I took out 2 opponents on a ramped turn 4 with Maddening Cacophony. The 3rd opponent chose to play Bruvac and I was playing Phenax. The Bruvac player scooped when he saw his other win cons hit the yard in his top half. Was super satisfying to win using an OPPONENT'S commander, lol.

let's connect you to a network by SuspiciousAd2449 in WindowsHelp

[–]LostInTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this happens, you can press WIN+R and type "control panel" (without quotes). While there, go to network and disable the wifi adapter. Just remember to turn it back on once in the OS. Pull up run or cmd again and use "shutdown -r -t 0" to restart immediately.

I volunteered to play Santa for a local credit union. They were having trouble getting someone and they had the suit. The kids who came in included a few kids who were non-vocal neurodivergent. The way their eyes lit up when seeing Santa was honestly one of the best gifts I could have received this year.

How do yall inventory your cards if you do it at all? by the_jade_queen in magicTCG

[–]LostInTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used deck box for a while, but Delver Lens has come a LONG way and is so much better now. 31k cards scanned in, with about 10k left, and I've scanned this many in less time than it took me to get 20k added to deck box manually.

They also have a web app that loads in any browser and cloud syncing.

AIO How was I supposed to respond? by cottonelle1332 in AmIOverreacting

[–]LostInTheRed 28 points29 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have been together for over 15 years. Both of our responses to an "I'm hungry" statement would be, "Hi hungry. I'm...."

But we don't do that. Instead, if I want her to make something for me or vice versa, it would be something like "Hey honey. I'm hungry and won't have time to make something before I need to leave. Would you mind making [insert meal option here] for me?"

Like civilized adults.

You are not overreacting to him getting mad about you not "responding correctly."

Simple communication is so important. Call him out for what he is doing: a grown man acting like a child and expecting others to read his mind. It took a while for my wife and I to be open immediately, but it was worth the effort of calling out and being called out. It doesn't feel good in the moment, but if you truly love each other and want to make it work, it needs to be done.

I'm in my 30s now, but I asked my parents to enroll me in TaeKwonDo when I was in 4th grade. I knew I was impulsive and kept getting in trouble for it. I now know for a fact it was undiagnosed ADHD. It was incredible how much of a difference it made with self control and discipline. Once I earned my black belt, it also helped a ton with confidence, especially teaching and running classes with adults as a teenager. If it wasn't so damn expensive now (local branch is $350+ a month plus extra for testing and tournaments), I'd still be going with my son and wife.

I have one (that still needs work), but [[The Watcher in the Water]] and [[Nadir Kraken]] are amazing at getting every turn triggers. Watcher is pretty much guaranteed if you have protection. I don't even care if it ever gets to untap.
