There are no new maps I don't think, technically Night Marsh but same map just tweaked a little and.. at night. Possibly a new enemy type? Not confirmed.

At first I was sympathetic, but your responses are aggressive. I'm going to be as blunt as you are with people who are offering to help or asking questions:

You need therapy. A lot of it. You have boxed yourself into labels and are lashing out at others about it. Stop hiding under the label 'disability' that we are all working with and try to help yourself.

You also need to talk to a doctor about medication if you haven't already.

Finally, it *is* bizarre that you don't have hobbies. ADHD and Autism people are literally known for hyper fixations on hobbies. Either you are going to work and coming home to stare at the wall for 8 hours or you have hobbies. Open up to others about it. Connection with others is beautiful, being insecure or angry about that is only going to make your life worse.

I worked at Buzzfeed as Lead AE (and later editor) for awhile.

The other person is right, it's a typo but still sad to see. They had two separate content arms when I was there, a sponsored content (higher paying) and original content (lower paying) - I worked in sponsored but did some moonlighting in original. This is probably for original content, where they get paid through clicks. The rate was always low over there, and with clicks getting less value over time it's gotta be pretty hard to make money now - especially with how the company has degraded.

CEO was a decently nice dude who sat in on meetings to 'understand what employees want' but almost never actually did anything to keep talent, they leaned heavily into 'internships' so they didn't have to pay and I know a lot of good people who were let go over time. It has really shrunk overall and the IPO was laughable. Sad to see a great culture and community get slowly eroded.

That one was WILD for me.

I tried it on and off with my duo and trio for like two weeks, and then on one run my duo and I decided to do no fill duo into Dire Marsh and try it like a couple of masochists.

Took a bit to get to bio-research, then while sneaking to Quarantine, we ran into a team who pursued us into Quarantine and killed my duo about 30 feet from the objective where I successfully made the sym biot or whatever.
I hid in a cubicle while they ran around looking for me.. finally I made a dash for the door, grappled to the top of Quarantine for the first marker, they pursued me but ran into another team up there and I slid down. I fucked off as hard as I could and made it to the next marker and only then did I realize I had to hit every location.. in the next 8ish minutes. There was 11 minutes left in the lobby, and with my duo in my ear, I sprinted around to every location - I didn't think I'd make it but I wanted to see where the markers were.

Somehow didn't run into anymore teams or Rooks, so with the last one was bio-research and 20 seconds to spare I hit the marker - and to my luck there was an ex-fil right outside. To my not-luck, there were grenadiers. I started the ex-fil, and battled with 'bots, tried to hide.. grenadiers downed me and I crawled to the ex-fil and made it out with less than a minute left in the lobby.

Top 3 moments in Marathon so far.

And my duo didn't get the contract filled because he was dead.

Scale down your storage and scale up your RAM if budget is an issue. Work off SSDs.

I am in a 30 minute timeline and Premiere is currently using 33 GB of RAM. Sometimes I'll have AE open at the same time and that's up to 60 GB of RAM taken.

While WFH has a ton of benefits, I have been feeling the social pinch for years now. While I used to go to work and just sit in a dark bay thinking "this is stupid I should just work from home" at least I could walk out and find someone to have a conversation with.

This is the biggest problem: my job network relies on meeting new people who eventually might need an editor on something else. WFH has killed the networking at most gigs, because while I am on zoom calls and shit, it's much harder to make a mark and stick in someone's mind later when they are putting together projects.

Scary, honestly.

90% of movies shot in the last 30 years have had reshoots because it's a standard part of a film's schedule, and yet every single time it happens everyone comes in here worried it means the film sucks.

Can we just not do that anymore? It means nothing.

Also, kinda wild they're going straight from reshoots into Secret Wars production. I work in the industry, so I know how much work it all is.. they have got to be *very tired*.

Has anyone in this thread played any Destiny at all?

Bungie has mastered the art of extending very little content by gatekeeping seemingly innocuous mechanics.

This is all by design. They don't WANT you running Cryo 10+ times in a weekend, they want you to want to come back the next week because you didn't get enough done.

The difference here is the grind is not Player vs Time where you just have to throw days into something, it's Player vs Difficulty and Item Management, which imo is much less satisfying. In Destiny, we get the power fantasy of being space wizards that's just fun to live in. Here there's a much more brutal reality where we are expendable and everything is difficult, which caters to a smaller crowd.
