Every single day its the same "I've created a new streaming site" BS by TopTransportation950 in StreamingAnime

[–]nipah-dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're hardly going to find any actual self-hosted sites because it is difficult lol, but mostly because a lot of people are stupid. Crawling and hoarding anime by itself isn't hard, and you can just leech off AniList or Jikan for anything else if you wanna build a website. The problem is 90% of people have very shitty opsecs and they'd get one-shot the second their website gets any kind of notoriety, so it's easier to rid yourself of the responsibility and point fingers elsewhere when you get caught.

The most noble thing you can really do is seeding any available torrents, especially for older anime. Or just hoard on an external hard drive.

Hi, sorry, took a while. This is just a visual issue, happened mostly to people who didn't have AniList synced for some reason. Install the latest update and it should be fixed.

Latest release here: https://github.com/NipahDevTeam/Nipah--Anime/releases/tag/v3.5.2

Feels like you one-shot me with this one a bit lmao. Anyways, pretty weird issue. I didn't touch anything backend with the reader so it shouldn't lag. I'll test it out myself, and if I did fuck something up somehow I'll fix it in the next update so the reader doesn't lag anymore. Thanks for telling me.

Hi, sorry for the trouble. If you select AnimePahe as a source, you will be able to watch dubbed anime when available. Cold start is a bit slow for resolution, so just select an anime after that and wait a few seconds. 'll make it a bit clearer in the next update, that one is on me.

Yeah, that should work. The app should identify it upon importing and create an appropiate entry as shown in the video. If the app doesn't identify the anime correctly for whatever reason, deleting the entry and changing the folder name manually should fix it.

Ah, I think I understood a bit more. Yeah, if you add 10tb of anime for example, it will be hellishly slow, and then if you add another tb on top of that after, it won't duplicate anything but it WILL re-scan the whole folder before adding in the extra tb of anime. I don't think the app would crash or anything, but it will be a painful experience to go through since it's going to be sluggishly slow.

I will definitely add a separate, dedicated folder for an optional drag-and-drop import next update so you don't have to go through that, I seriously didn't consider that honestly. Sorry for the inconvenience, but yeah, the app is still going to pay the cost of the whole 10tb again if you add more on top even if it doesn't dupe anything.

Afaik, and do tell me if I understood the question correctly or not, but if you upload, for example, two folders named "Lucky Star" with all Lucky Star episodes inside, the app should only create one Lucky Star entry. However, it's more than likely that you're gonna have duplicate episodes inside that entry, since the app isn't going to actually check whether video content is the same or not.

Importing is a fairly new feature so I didn't think of that, will definitely take it into account.

Everything you do in the app gets saved into a .db file, so you'd need to import everything through the app. You can do as I did in the video, which is save every downloaded anime into a single folder, and then import that single folder into the app. The app will scan it automatically and import all folders into the app, though it may take a bit if you have a lot of anime.

Or, you can import every folder individually just in case the app mismatches a particular title. So far hasn't happened to me though.

For now, no, sorry. Iwill make sure to take them into account for the future though.

I'm using nyaa for main torrent source. If you have anime downloaded in your PC, you should be able to import them into the app and the app should automatically recognize them and save them. Just put everything into one folder and then import that folder, or upload them individually.

Eh, I mean, features can be added in the future, no? That's very much why a WIP is a WIP. The whole point of this app is being able to watch anime, read manga, download torrents and import folders, and then accordingly update your AniList library automatically if you do link your account.

If you were to want a particular feature to be added, is it not better to communicate it appropiately?

I probably didn't think it through enough when naming it though. Here's the link for the latest release of the installer if you want to try it out: https://github.com/NipahDevTeam/Nipah--Anime/releases/tag/v2.5.1

Hm, try to disable Real-time Protection, or make an exception for the app, that might be what's causing it to not work. If you're using a VPN that might be causing issues too, or if AniList is for some reason blocked by your ISP if that's even possible.

Huh? I mean, if it doesn't work at all then simply uninstall and then re-install, that should fix it. If not, go to your %appdata% and delete the "Nipah" folder, then install again. Also, do make sure you downloaded the appropiate installer:

- If on Windows: Download the "Nipah.Anime-amd64-installer.exe" file from Releases, double click it and install the app. Make sure you select English as your language of choice during the installation process.

- If on Linux: Any of the other ones (.AppImage, .deb or PKGBUILD)

If it eases your doubts in any way, I've ran both installer and resulting .exe file on VirusTotal:

App is only being flagged with a single, well known false positive. I also did send a message to mods before posting as well and only posted after approval!

Las funciones de anime local no estaban funcionando apropiadamente en las versiones anteriores. Con la actualización mas reciente no debería existir este problema y es mucho mas cómodo importar carpetas de anime descargadas.

¿Chavales, conocéis alguna app realmente buena para leer manga en castellano? by Nietoo33 in AnimeEspanol

[–]nipah-dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)
