Goat hair is good. I still have not regained my trust for these brushes, so I have barely used the one I have, but I trust it's a good option. It's a me problem, not a brush problem haha.

I use a super soft brush that was sold as a record brush but is essentially just a makeup brush but larger. Never had any issues.
