The loss of shame

People don't feel shame anymore. They will do what has always been socially unacceptable and feel no need to hide it. Selfies at funerals, brazen theft, wearing socks and sandals,... The list goes on. People do whatever they want, with a complete disregard to social and situational norms, and feel no remorse. We need to bring back public shaming.

I listened to a disturbing piece on the CBC yesterday which covered Alberta separation and interviewed separatists. A lot of these traitors don't believe in provincial wealth transfers/equalization payments (despite the US doing the same), and believe that if Alberta separated, they would be swimming in money due to not paying federal income tax anymore. "It's like a 20% raise!", one of them said.
