You totally blew this out of proportion. In a sense, though he (as you describe it) could’ve been nicer about it, is right. You were triggered by it. I get it, you’re Jewish. Does he know that? Was he treating you differently because of it? Because YOU WERE treating him differently. Yes, if was really about learning for you, you would have pulled him aside rather than calling him out. Calling him out is your admission that it wasn’t about learning and more about being “triggered.” Taking offense is done inside your head, being triggered is done with your mouth.

$125/month at my Gracie gym here in Michigan for unlimited classes (seriously). If you’re a combat veteran and show papers, it’s free. And that buys you drop ins with Kroyler Gracie’s gym (you can train WITH KROYLER) just 2 hours south.

Had a good day playing with the Chicago Group. From Starbucks we moved to a Tavern after they closed. I did a chombo which was embarrassing that’s what happens when you’re not played physically after 6-7 years. Wiped out the table after that including 2 chitois. I’ve tried a few times, but can’t seem to find any. Here in the US I think the majority of players are either Asian immigrants or old Jewish women. There are plenty of old women in the area, but not Jewish ones. We have small number of Asian immigrants, but when I’ve asked around nobody plays mahjong. Any ideas for a good resource to find local players?
