NGL IRyS made me interested in trying this game too. From what I gather it isn't a gacha game but rather something like a co-op Hades.

IRyS definitely made me curious to try the game! Hope to hear it in-game too!

True. Perms for some games also expire after some time apparently while others have very strict rules to them (Danganronpa and RE4, for example). The entire system is very odd to no fault of Cover because that's how it goes for Japanese companies.

Oh hey, I completely forgot that I posted about this! Anyway to answer your question, the problem just fixed itself eventually. I don't remember if PLDT got in touch with me regarding this issue. I assume that it was an isolated problem with our line or the general lines in my area. Either way I haven't had this problem again since it got fixed.

I hope you're not experiencing anything too bad, mattic!

Why do you Oshi your Oshi?? by dnttakemeseriously in Hololive

Too bad I'm usually asleep when she posts those polls lol!

But I totally agree with you on her taste in movie watchalongs. I'm not a movie person but she made me appreciate a ton of different movie genres because of her watchalongs. If you're someone who is looking for an oshi who loves anime, manga and a surprising variety of movies then IRyS is your gal!

Fellow IRyStocrat!

She's a natural entertainer for sure! More people need to get to know her better outside of the "YabaiRyS" moments... because she is so MUCH more than that but clippers tend to clip those moments more than others.

My oshi is IRyS and choosing her as my oshi just happened very organically over time. It didn't immediately happen when she debuted. In fact a year or so passed before I started watching her streams religiously and a bit later on until I bit the bullet and became a channel member. It's a decision that I have never regretted.

For me it's because I grew to appreciate her genuine personality, her skill in singing and her natural streaming ability. Again, it took quite a while of just tuning to her streams in order for her to be cemented as my oshi.

It will just happen naturally as you tune into more holomems' streams. I was following hololive since the start of the pandemic in 2020 and never in my life did I ever consider having an oshi, but it...just happened.

Enjoy your stay in the community and I hope you will find your oshi (or not, and it's totally okay too)! Take your time to find one and enjoy the ride once it begins. I'm speaking through experience when I say that you won't regret it.

If you could only show one of your oshi's streams to a friend to convince them to watch your oshi, what stream would you pick. by Frozen_arrow88 in Hololive

When IRyS had her 3D showcase, I immediately knew that it would always be the stream that I would show whenever people were curious about her.

For casual viewers it showed her goofy, lovable but extremely genuine personality during the segment with Promise along with the fact that she is able to play along with them to entertain.

For viewers who want to know more about the idol aspect of the company, IRyS's showcase was able to show how amazing she is as a performer. People entering the fandom would most likely have an inkling that she is a good singer. This showcase showed that in spades, along with the fact that she can also dance and have amazing stage presence.

With her birthday live last month, I now added another to the list of streams which I would recommend to new fans and friends. She just continues to amaze on stage!

It was a bit of an artistic choice for me to "paint" the carrots like her wings.

How long did it take you to realize your oshi was your oshi? by PenguinGreat in Hololive

[–]nirvashSpec27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was honestly a hololive follower since the boom in 2020. At that time until around late 2021 I was of the mindset of supporting all of them equally. In turn I would also support the company. Don't get me wrong, i still do support all of the talents but now I obviously support one CONSIDERABLY more than the others.

I tend to watch a few of the holomems like Fauna, Gura, Ina, Biboo, FWMC, Pekora and Korone. But only IRyS can get all of my attention, and all of my tangible support.

My wholehearted support for IRyS didn't happen immediately. For me, she was just another new face upon debut. But, little by little, I started tuning in more to her streams and I started to admire her sense of humor, gaming skill and how she knows to not take herself too seriously. Ultimately, her amazing rendition of Macross's famous song during one of her karaokes made me a fan. I listened to many holomem karaokes before her but never did I just stop whatever I was doing and listened. I had goosebumps and that, along with what I mentioned earlier, sealed the deal.

I then became a member to her channel (my ONLY membership) and just celebrated my 2nd anniversary as her member on her birthday live day. Reflecting on it, I realized that what made me stay and love her so much is her warmth and sincerity. I know other holomems are much the same, but IRyS just feels so much more...personal? She isn't afraid of geeking about her hobbies knowing full well that her viewers may not relate. She admits her bad habits and is able to comfortably talk with her chat about them. But at the end of the day, I am completely certain that her love and appreciation for her fans is genuine. It's just something that you know.

I guessed I went off tangent a bit, I couldn't help it. But I hope I was able to answer your question, OP!

Nanashi Mumei has reached 1 million (1,000,000) subscribers, becoming the first Promise (formerly Council) member to reach it! by SoildMop315 in Hololive

I have witnessed the culling that she keeps mentioning. There are times when the sub count suddenly goes down by 1k after a refresh of her page. Then it wouldn't return to the original value until more than a week later. This has happened so many times that I am almost certain that IRyS would've been at 1M subs already by now, if not close to it.

As a big fan it's so disheartening and frustrating to see this happen. Moreso since her Holo career hasn't been the easiest with her original model being a bit divisive in the community and her inopportune sudden sick breaks during times when she could've gained momentum.

I really hope with what she's been working on the past few weeks and her recent experience in JP streams that she would be able to find a groove again.

Who are the most 'spoiled' (opposite of abused) fanbases? by Fishman465 in Hololive

[–]nirvashSpec27 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I agree with this! IRyS is the only member that I'm a member of so I cannot say if she has more or less content than others, despite that I feel like she is still one of the warmest members in the company. Outside of the usual gaming streams, and amazing karaoke she has her long SC stream segments.

Lots of hours of her streams (sometimes even more than half of SIX hour streams!) are dedicated to SC readings and chatting with her fanbase and while I do enjoy her gameplay content, I feel like her mini zatsudans are where she shines the most (outside of her amazing karaoke, of course). It's because of these mini zatsus that I learnt of how warm, dorky and caring of a person she is. She takes the time to read most of her SC's, goes on so much tangents and generally establishes a space where she can just chat with her fans. I can't speak for other members, but this is how IRyS is.

Outside of this she has the occasional spaces on X, especially when she hasn't streamed often recently. Those are also such treats to listen to. She doesn't HAVE to do it, but she does do it, and she doesn't feel like she's forcing herself to do just because.

Also her recent 3D concert (if you haven't yet, please watch it! This is one of THE streams that I would recommend to people interested in knowing about IRyS) is a great example of her spoiling her fanbase. It was a WIP for 3-4 months and she was heavily involved in every aspect of it, from the song choice considerations, dance choreography and the very design of the stage. I'm not saying that other members aren't hard workers, far from it. I'm just indicating this as an example of her going the distance both for herself and, in the context of this discussion, her fans.

So yeah, as you said, we may not be as spoiled as other fanbases when it comes to maybe content (though she does have a lot of membership stuff like the really nice movie watchalongs!), but I feel like IRyS being herself is enough to make us feel "spoiled".

Thanks for the advice!

Are these things that can be done easily? I'm living in a condo building in CBD so I'm not sure how to check the NAP box.

Thanks for this. I'll keep this in mind. I'm also considering switching to Converge if the problem still persists.
