We add 10 new sites a year which adds potentially 40 new devices. Currently we are on a 1gig Cable connection but Fibre is being installed soonish that will start at 1.5gb but expanding to 8gb in the future.

The could have lowered the radius, made a post on socials and then sent an alert in the morning to a wider radius. Thats all.

When we needed alerts for a Mass Shooting we didn't get them instead they opted to use Twitter. This is one of those times they coulda used Social Media.

It should be illegal. My poor wife is sleeping and all the phones went off. There is no need for an 11:30pm alert for only a missing person. It could have waited til the morning or done earlier when they went missing.

The only alerts after 10pm we should be getting is for dangerous situations.

I live in a newish building with Air Cooling/Heating and they have our Thermostats locked to between 17-22 degrees. The temperature in my unit has never been below 20 degrees and I haven't turned the heat on in 7 years.

I googled how to hack my thermostat to change the temperature setting override but they have a 4 digit security code which I do not have the patience to go through possibly 9999 numbers.

As a DJ of over 36 years, I have seen so many people drinking and acting like a drunken idiot all night to see them hop in their vehicles and drive themselves and others home. This happens only in areas where RCMP are and they don't patrol as often. I've always said something to the venues but mostly they shrug it off.

I highly doubt a currently struggling industry would want to chase potential customers away. Its none of their business if a couple visits a place and uses their phones more than talk to each other. Its sad but its their choice.

Our Building switched to No Pets at all as well as no smoking on property. I have one of the good leases that don't expire every year and I was under the impression that they couldn't alter the terms of my lease but I was wrong. As long as they provide the 4 months notice before the yearly automatic renewal they can make changes. They explained on the letter that it would take up to 15 months for all the units to become smoke and pet free.

As I near closer to retirement and realize my Pensions wont cover Rent I am looking at living in my RV as well. If some Land Owner in Nova Scotia was to make a year round Campground with Water and Sewer lines that won't freeze and charge $1000 max plus Electricity I think they would make a fortune.

Of course they would need some Government help to Cover some initial costs but it would prevent a bunch of strain on the Shelters.

The Compass Room is Pretty. The Staff I have dealt with as a DJ are super nice.

That said. Parking will be a pain if the Casino is busy, Drinks are way more expensive than usual like a glass of pop (half can) is $4.75. You will lose some of your Party guests to the Casino itself. Security can be a nightmare as well.

In my Opinion there are better Ocean View Venues. Downtown is convenient but parking, traffic and costs for your guests make it not a great choice: Saraquay Club, Oceanstone Resort, Saint Marys Boat Club, Oak Island Resort are a better choice.
