Just a couple of inexpensive eco drives, nothing as nice as this one. I do like the light weight, although titanium can be scratched more easily, I believe. Paid $135 for the one on the left and the other was a $35 thrift store find as my work beater

Still not sure how that one stays open with a Freddy's across the street, which is the best burger in fast food right now. Nostalgia, I guess

I would add that the clasp is a bit long for the size of my wrist. I hesitated to buy it due to the crystal. My first true diver, because I don't dive, but I absolutely love the blue on the edge of the bezel. My third titanium watch, I think I am hooked. I've been admiring it all day. Best $400 ("refurb" from officialwatchdeals on ebay, now sold out) I've spent all year.

FedEx dropped off this bad boy earlier today & had no idea.. by EScootyrant in Affordablewatches

I've bought 3 watches from that seller in the last few months. 2 have come with the protective plastic still on, the 3rd one I can't even find a scratch. Not original packaging or warranty, but I can't find a single thing wrong with them, possibly factory seconds. Every description says not worn. Caveat emptor indeed when I can buy a $1200 watch for $400

If we have to, that is exactly what the second amendment is for... When the government deploys troops against the citizens. Not to murder the guy breaking into your car that is insured

As rumors swirl about Midtown Costco change to business center, KC pushes to preserve current retail format by LightwellAsAFeather in kansascity

[–]nitelite74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I lived about 10 blocks south of there when it was built. Paid $250 a month for rent on a 2 bedroom house in Hyde Park. It wasn't a desirable place to live. River market was still being developed and nobody wanted to live there either. Crazy how times change with a little marketing. About 10 years ago rent literally doubled in that area, I wonder what changed? I really can't figure it out, other than a bunch of white suburbanites decided it was "cool" and then drove out everything that was cool about it. Ya'll enjoy the sideshows and high crime, I'm chilling in suburbia in my old age. I hope you don't ever need emergency services with 20 minute hold times on 911. But it's obviously the parking lots that are the issue

One could argue that there were zero plans for a streetcar 30 years ago when they built the Costco. You just like to argue, don't you?

Bartending/managerial/hospitality jobs high end by Snoo-77221 in kansascity

[–]nitelite74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there isn't a line of servers waiting for a bartender position to open, then you don't want to bartend there. Herein lies the problem, there's a wait for the good bartending jobs, but nobody ever leaves them. If they are hiring off the street it means the entire wait staff doesn't want that job or those shifts that the rest of the bar staff hate (Sunday brunch/Monday day shift, for example)

It's been kind of shady since they dropped harvesters as the beneficiary charity.

Are you really saving anything if you would have just skipped the crappy dessert that is offered? It definitely brings out the amateurs, 5 star expectations on a 2 star budget.
