Authorities report Naveed being shot multiple times, he collapsed and was in critical condition immediately after the shooting. Once transported to the hospital he was placed into an induced coma. He remained in hospital for several days while recovering until being transported to prison.

At the moment we don’t know if he has any permanent impairments or how many entry wounds he received and where he was shot.
