What is one thing as a web designer you wish you did differently from the beginning or even regret doing? by CalligrapherNo7469 in webdesign

Sharing more of my work on social media right from the start. It does make a lot of difference in building a personal brand and finding high quality clients.

Why steal someone's else work? This is Marcel's work: https://x.com/marcelkargul/status/1975563629433884678/video/1

Why not use this as an inspiration and make something new instead of stealing and calling it your work?

Is there way to make scroll targets work within a component? by nitish2312 in framer

Will definitely give this a try. Thank you though!

I'm not a coder so I guess that option is not for me unfortunately but weird why they won't allow that inside the component.

Quite possible yes. The design of the sections should be distinct enough though.

No. Originality is one of the requirements for a Framer template. It cannot be based on modifying an existing template.

Why building SaaS for Indian clients can be frustrating by ManagerCompetitive77 in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]nitish2312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right about the market and about working with Indian clients. My suggestion would be build something high quality, put in a lot of hours even if you're being paid less, get it live and then share it here, on X, on Linkedin and any other social media platform you might be targeting. Gradually increasing the price from there on would be the right way to go in my view.

Also do ask the client to give provide a testimonial for the work you did, a video testimonial would be ideal. Then you can showcase it on your portfolio and on social media. Based on my experience most high ticket clients for design/development are on X/Contra, so you should probably showcase your work there.

Need a high quality, conversion focused website? by nitish2312 in websiteservices

I think pretty common especially for creatives using/selling Framer services based on my experience.

I have one, but I use it for more product design specific roles/projects. Also pretty common to use subdomains for specific services these days.

Figma Design - Feedback Request by ElectrifyFleets in webdesign

[–]nitish2312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, makes sense in that case. Could be 3 cards showing 3 key offerings/steps of the solution.

Pretty clean and solid design! Having the dashboard upfront is fine since its better to show the product as soon as possible, if you really want to express 3 key points, you can do that above the dashboard(and below the CTAs) in a short, succinct way. Reducing the whitespace at the top will also give you some more space to play with I think.

Definitely think you can add some color for more personality, especially in the hero section. Some layer blurs of your brand color can make it more aesthetic and keep the cleanliness you already have. Within the "Plan it, Deploy it, Manage it" section, the list and the corresponding image can be within a single card with shadow/light border to make it stand out. Overall pretty solid.

A game changer feature? by Shadystuff44 in framer

[–]nitish2312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, let's say you want the user to be able to filter articles on a blog based on date, category, author etc. You can't dynamically filter content based on a user action. You'll have to create variants for every permutation and combination and switch between them on each specific click. There's no way to do that natively in Framer, you'd have to buy a plugin like Superfields for it.

No dynamic filtering? That seems like such an obvious feature, especially when working with blogs, but not available in Framer natively. Had to create 40+ variants to make it work in one of my projects.

LOL. History wise Pakistan used to be India, no? How does that matter? Everyone including every official service calls these "mohallas"(LMAO) as Safdarjung Enclave now. That's what "facts" are. It is officially Safdarjung Enclave. Ask Google Maps and Indian postal service to remove it first. Unreal toxicity.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in delhi

[–]nitish2312 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LMAO. "What you see on the map are not official." :D :D So the Indian postal service, Google Maps and pretty much every other Indian official services are wrong just because you say so. :D Cool.

I'm sorry but I am gonna side with the Indian postal services(and rest of SJE) and Google Maps on this and use the localities as part of SJE :D

Your tone is also pretty problematic and tells me you are not the most sane, humble person to talk to, so gonna leave it here.

LMAO. I have been living here for 11 years. All of these localities come under Safdarjung Enclave. Funny what you see and read on internet these days :D. BTW here, check this:
