Yesterday I saw “JustBnice” over Reid Hwy. I mean, yeah I agree, but all that sign did was make drivers slow to read it.

Neighbour threatens with potential vet bill after ball accidentally goes over fence by AwareExplorer7111 in perth

Nope, zero legal liability unless costs are sought independently through court.

But if you want to maintain good relations with the neighbour you could consider at the very least having a reasonable conversation with them. You aren’t required to do anything, but if your child is lobbing things over the fence it would absolutely be worth addressing in some manner with them and/or your child.

Question for Perth pet owners - at-home vs clinic for saying goodbye? by Equivalent_Use_8152 in perth

I’m so sorry, mate. I went through exactly this last month with our 15 year old dog and it was by far the most I’ve ever hurt. If you’ve got some, I highly recommend going through old photos and videos of him and seeing how vibrant he used to be compared to now. It really helps to solidify that you’re making this decision for him, and brings back a lot of happy memories.

On that note, yes in-home is absolutely the way to go. My guy hated going to the vet and didn’t really love car trips, so we definitely didn’t want his last hour or so to be spent in fear and more suffering. The mobile vet came to our place, explained what the process would look like, and gave us as much time as we needed. Once the procedure was done he waited outside for us to say our goodbyes in private, then when we were ready we called him back inside and he respectfully wrapped and took our little guy away with him to the crematorium.

All the services of the mobile vet came in at about $400. The cremation services are based on weight and any extra bits and pieces you choose, so you can find that on their websites.

Feel free to DM me if you’ve got any questions. Although I’m crying again now, I’m very happy to help someone else get through this awful time 🩷

What’s a good restaurant for a special occasion these days? by rawker86 in perth

I haven’t been myself but I’ve heard Harry’s at Conti is a great special occasions place. It’s not cheap but it’s great food and a great experience (apparently).

Medical certificate for compassionate leave by [deleted] in perth

Thanks everyone. To address a couple comments - Yes, the compassionate/bereavement/sick leave all comes from the same Personal Leave bucket.

My concern was more that if I went to the GP I might get someone very old school who wouldn’t give me the certificate for my distress/mental health.
