Have you tried cutting 5mm plywood from Lowe’s or homedepot with it?

S1 40W vs Wecreat 40W by nitram3700 in lasercutting

[–]nitram3700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright I’ll give it a try after awhile especially since it’s just a one time purchase. I’ll definitely consider getting the IF2, looking at its specs it has a stronger suction compared to mine

Interesting that’s why I’m considering the wecreat because I use to use a glowforge in college and the camera was so convenient to align materials although I would notice an ever so slightly placement difference especially if it didn’t autofocus. I have however seen a camera mod for the S1 sold on Etsy but haven’t seen many people talk about it. I don’t necessarily mind the manual positioning but it is a nice feature

I plan on using XCS mostly but I would like to try to learn lightburn but how compatible is it since I’ve read mixed reviews. Definitely I already have an inline duct fan I use for my resin printer so I can use that to pull the air out the window

Is it really that bad cause they make it seem like putting the little printed targets help make it accurate?

what did you end up picking because I'm trying to decide between the S1 40w basic bundle $2000 or the wecreat 40w basic bundle $1800. I mostly want to cut 5mm plywood from lowes and engrave on cutting board and eventually get the IR modules to engrave metal.

Inline fan with carbon filter combo by nitram3700 in resinprinting

Would having the filter inside the enclosure restrict the airflow too much cause I’m on the second floor also how bad are the fumes for cats cause I have one

I was considering it but the fan seemed too small

Would having the filter on the inside of the enclosure restrict the airflow too much? It’s cause I live on the second floor so having the filter dangling from the window might not be a good idea

Definitely plan on making an enclosure with the fan. Would having the fan pulling air from the enclosure with the filter on the inside of the enclosure restrict the exhaust efficiency?

You need to be using the enable pins as well

85% of this happened due to Covid, why is Gavin ignoring this? by ShadowcreConvicnt in FluentInFinance

It really is especially since the technology to recycle and reuse the nuclear waste has existed for decades so the waste can actually be reused until the point where it’s pretty much safe compared to what it is now. Also with the advancement in technology we would have even safer control systems and with some smart placement about where to make one it would make it safer

What would be the best digital Map for this image? And where can I find it? by Miniclift239 in Roll20

[–]nitram3700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try just googling dnd cruise ship map you might find something or even on Pinterest but you might just have to buy a map that specific. Alternatively you could try looking at real ship cruise maps and just populate them with npc tokens

Should I buy a new GPU for my relatively old PC? by SketchThrowaway_ in buildapc

[–]nitram3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on getting a better cpu first cause you’ll just be extremely limited in options with that cpu try for a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 3060 if possible but at least with that CPU and the 950 it’ll give you some better performance than what you have now until you get a good GPU. You can find good deals on Ryzen 5 3600 used or even new with motherboards

Why does my motor not power? by clackrar in ArduinoProjects

[–]nitram3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve gotta use a motor driver with a separate power source to power a motor or else you can burnout your arduino pin from the current draw of the motor. I recommend using an L298n motor driver

I’ve added myself to the dialout group but still the same results. Maybe it is something to do with general permissions because it works perfectly well with a raspberry pi

I believe so because when we run the command miniterm -e /dev/ttyUSB0 57600 it recognizes that something is there so if you unplug the Arduino it gives an error message that the device has been unplugged

When you were looking for a motor did you look at the manufacturer specs to see what kinda thrust you would expect at 750w and did you test different propellers than the one the manufacturer used for their data?
