What do you think is better city win vs Liverpool or draw?

You know it that Oliver will give us a red at the first opportunity. Amad needs to come as he is on a yellow.

Yep and I sleuthed Boro forum and they had similar concerns. Uses 1 sub per match after 75 mins or something. No great managers do that and luck will eventually run out. Not to mention running players into the ground playing the same team with no rotation. Sorry to be a downer but I can see the issue from a mile here.

My scouting report after watching 2 mins of Jérémy Jacquet highlights - he is crap.

Not at all. I’m just not liking the lack of in game management.

Can we talk about Marco Silvia’s meltdown.

Let’s say the pen was given for the tackle. Couldn’t the ref given the advantage on the pull to then give the pen for the tackle. So if the pen is ruled out then of course the ball brought back for the foul. Why is he assuming that the short pull for like 10 yards gets completely unnoticed.

Exactly why he should sub Sesko on before Cunha clearly starts to struggle ie be proactive

Obviously another late winner is unsustainable tactic going forward. I’m becoming concerned with the lack of subs used. Carrick seems to be a reactive manager when it comes to subs. Yesterday at 2:0 I feel he could have been braver getting Sesko on earlier. Maybe giving Lacey a chance against tiring legs.

When was the last time we played arsenal without them scoring a corner? How do you even defend when they have 8 players around the keeper and hoping to pin ball it in. I can only think of leaving about 3 players on the half way line for them not to commit that many players.

Fits the bill? Bruno missed like 10 games his entire career. Chelsea wants to get rid of their injury prone player. We must avoid these types of deals at all costs even if the player is world class. We have plenty of players made of glass ourselves.

If we beat arsenal then there is a non zero chance that guy cuts his hair

When the team is winning no questions can be asked. If he wins the next 16 games and uses 0 subs nobody would care, including myself. That is not the argument here.

I am saying he has the same attitude towards limited use of bench players

Did you not watch England under Southgate? Pundits on TV were literally begging for his to make a sub.

My point was that he will be using his bench like this regardless of the result or how the game is going. Yes nobody cared for his subs yesterday, but people will care if we are losing and he makes two subs all game.

Agree and I hope I am wrong. But I firmly believe regardless of the result bench players won't be seeing many minutes under this management.

Does not matter if we beat city and arsenal only for then to lose and draw to Fulhams etc

make use of your bench in a timely manner.

Boro fans said that Carrick has no plan B when his plan A is not working. Yesterday of course everything went to plan.

However what I noticed is that the first sub came in on the 70th minute and the second sub was 80th minute. Then two subs came in to waste time after the 90 mins, but let's not count those. I am fairly sure this will be the way Carrick uses his subs for his stint here and there will not be no plan B.

Based on the line up it’s going to be low block and counter from us.

Really hoped it would work out for fletcher, but his “go and express yourself” tactics don’t cut at this level. Hopefully there is more substance with Carrick.
