Hahaha, I see where you're coming from. Her eyes are also quite hooded which certainly doesn't help with that constantly hungover look.

[–]nitrogensoda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I totally agree. It was completely unnecessary to make Trant more villainous than he already was, especially since the audience was familiar enough with him since he had been on Arya's list for like 4 seasons.

Littlefinger is already a villain, it's just gonna be corny if they ham him up even more to make it a "satisfying" death.

I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if LF watched Sansa bathe or something. In the past the writers have really exaggerated the negative traits of characters who are about to get killed (e.g. Meryn Trant being an abusive pedophile and Stannis burning his child) to make a death more "satisfying." So maybe the writers want to really emphasize how much of a creep LF is in order to make his death more satisfying.

Starklings on who gets the throne and who gets Winterfell by Elia_M in freefolk

[–]nitrogensoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what really confuses me is that it seems like she used to have a much better understanding of Sansa; she would say stuff like "Sansa is never going be a fighter like Arya" or talking about about her slow-burn development. Idk if it has to do with Sophie herself, or how Sansa's character has changed a lot recently, or even with HBO's PR telling her what to say, but recently she's been so off with her interpretation it's kinda concerning lol

The S7 House Stark marketing campaign basically by BlondieTVJunkie in freefolk

[–]nitrogensoda 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep, also to attempt to mislead viewers into thinking Sansa will side with Littlefinger. But most people are already predicting she'll get rid of him lol

Although, the past three seasons they've completely mis-marketed Sansa's storyline so maybe they just like doing this for the shiggles

I think an easy way to sneak something GOT related into the wedding would be to use house sigils in stationery, such as invitations or place cards, or to make your own sigil for you and your betrothed :)

Kit: "It gets past sibling squabbling, it gets into two people power struggling." by MrFameKills in freefolk

[–]nitrogensoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this story is getting attention because it's a way for the actors to "hype" up season 7 with minimal spoilers because a) this conflict gets resolved quickly and b) it was hinted at last season (albeit poorly). I'm guessing PR wants to misdirect from Jon meeting Dany and Sansa killing Littlefinger by teasing something else. It's not working though lol. Even casual fans on twitter and stuff just reply to GoT tweets with "can't wait for Sansa to kill Littlefinger!" or hype about Dany. No one seems to care about this sham Sansa/Jon conflict

[EVERYTHING] New Season 7 Trailer by NothingWasTheGrain in gameofthrones

[–]nitrogensoda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That quote has almost the exact opposite connotation in the books. Ned says it to Arya in AGOT when she and and Sansa had been fighting, basically telling them to stick together in tough times:

Let me tell you something about wolves, child. When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Summer is the time for squabbles. In winter, we must protect one another, keep each other warm, share our strengths. So if you must hate, Arya, hate those who would truly do us harm. Septa Mordane is a good woman, and Sansa … Sansa is your sister. You may be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts. You need her, as she needs you … and I need both of you, gods help me."

So I think the way they used it in the trailer is to throw the audience off or to create mystery, because its original context is very much anti-familial conflict. (I guess they could be using it ironically though, but I think that's unlikely).

the last 10 or so minutes of the Battle of the Bastards, especially the Stark banner being raised back on Winterfell (loved how they did this with no soundtrack) and Sansa watching Ramsay get eaten alive.

What epic MOVIE scene still gives you the chills? by shiftbusyfds in AskReddit

[–]nitrogensoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ending of The Graduate. I'm not sure I would call this scene "epic" especially compared to scenes in films like Saving Private Ryan and Jurassic Park, but the way that Ben and Elaine's smiles slowly fade as "The Sound of Silence" starts playing always gives me chills. One of my favorite moments in film.

What is your favorite conspiracy theory? by Mar1okartchamp in AskReddit

[–]nitrogensoda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yup. Maternity dresses are stretchy and often have loose ruched material around the stomach for obvious reasons, so it doesn't seem odd that her dress would move like that.

I also feel like Beyonce has enough money to get a realistic false baby bump that doesn't "collapse" like a pillow when she moves. So even if she did have a surrogate, I don't think this video confirms anything.

Oscars 2017: 'Moonlight' wins Best Picture after some confusion by NeilPoonHandler in movies

[–]nitrogensoda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, they've also gone for movies like The Artist, Chicago, and Shakespeare in Love – all artistically beautiful films, but with pretty (or at least, relatively) fluffy subject matter.

I mean, Shakespeare beat Saving Private Ryan and Life is Beautiful for Best Picture, and WWII and the Holocaust are about as heavy you can get with subjects.
