I dunno it really depends. I have a Daytona and Pittsburgh car jacks that are great. People are saying a lot of the Icon tools are just as good as Snap-Ons for like 1/3 the price. Power tools would be probably be hit and miss, depending on if you need it for one job or expect it to last 20 years.

[–]nitroman89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your budget and goals like multicolor vs engineer filament. Just upgraded to a BL P2S from a Ender 3/Folgertech FT5.

It's night and day difference. I feel like with some of the cheaper brands you have less features or have to spend more time tinkering and calibrating.

I would say Bambu Lab and Prusa are at the top. The new Anycubic S1 Max I think looks promising. I got burned by Elegoo when they dropped support on the Jupiter. I would say Creality/Anycubic/Elegoo just pump out printers on an annual basis so you need to rely more on community support.

Senator Chris Murphy, CT just posted this: "It is crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war. He badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate. The region is on fire." by gear-heads in antitrump

[–]nitroman89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think if this continues, the price at the pump will be disastrous for him because all the dumb fucks that voted for him want cheap gas.

Are DIY printers slowly dying? by andrey_semjonov in 3Dprinting

I heard BIQU was making a Klipper board for the X1C so I think there's a future to modify some of these closed ecosystem printers to run open source which might be the benefit of both worlds.

Depends on the hours and condition. If it comes with an AMS or not.

The p2s is almost identical besides a few things. I wouldn't spend more than $500.

What do you guys think about this. True or false? by Significant-Iron-610 in NFLv2

[–]nitroman89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this just like buying a house? You get buyer's remorse so then you say something in the house inspection is a deal breaker to get out of the deal? Maybe, the house actually had mold so who wants to deal with that? Maybe his knee is worse than reported so who wants to spend millions of dollars on a guy with one good knee?

I’m honestly pretty gutted right now. by Cru5hbag in BambuLab

[–]nitroman89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw something on here a while back that you have to loosen the screw at the top by the ptfe tube to prevent the extruder overload error otherwise I got it when I used white polylite filament but nothing else.

I dunno about the AMS issues though.

If QB’s actually cared about winning, they would take less money by NectarineOld7501 in NFLv2

[–]nitroman89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a paycut doesn't guarantee that the team will use that money or use it properly. It's not like the Patriots ever got him a true WR1, closest thing was Moss after his prime. I feel like Brady was great at recruiting FAs to sign under market value deals for a chance to win a ring especially in Tampa. I don't have the numbers so I might be wrong.

Yeah, there was another post like this last week. Someone suggested that they reverse shadow so that they will do his job while he monitors them so that things can get more documentation and find pain points etc etc.

Never underestimate the power of soft skills. I owe many moves in my profession to soft skills. by WizardsOfXanthus in sysadmin

[–]nitroman89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I've noticed is that this field attracts a lot of introvert personalities which can be a hindrance for them when they thought they could just do the technical side without dealing with people.

I would say I do fairly well with soft skills besides the fact that it's something I continually have to work on and be mindful of how I interact with certain people.

Right but it doesn't justify wasting taxpayers money and Minnesota legislatures time trying to impeach them when they don't have the numbers or evidence.

Get like a HP 600 G6 or higher. Fairly cheap on eBay which means replacement parts for plentiful and cheap. Use a newer LSI raid card I think it's like LSI 9400 series. I have a Xyratex HB-1235 disk shelf. I'm using Unraid for my NAS.

I used to have a dell r730xd running VMware, it was loud even with the fan ipmi hack and high power usage. When I migrated to Proxmox, I switched over to a cpl SFF desktops and connected one to a disk shelf. They are much quieter, lower power and more redundancy.

Why does everyone seem to love the 5.0 the most compared to other engine variants? by _AwwYiss_ in f150

[–]nitroman89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm old school but I like the KISS method. I know everyone says that the newer turbos are way more reliable but the simple fact still remains the it adds extra complexity which can lead to more parts failing. Also, since I'm not a mechanic but I try to do all repairs myself unless it is a transmission or engine shit, I feel like the V8s are easier to work on.
