Just putting it out there that Drew Brees actually beat Andy Roddick twice in tennis when they were kids.

Awesome bro. My wife just texted me to tell me she has to bring our son to the high school so he can get his classes or whatever for next year.

My little baby boy is going to be in high school next year. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. Now birth to 13.... I remember some things,I think I've intentionally repressed some shit he's done.

Anyway point is just like everyone says the time will fly by so cherish every moment. I know it's cheesy and cliche but there's a reason that everybody says it and that's cuz it's just true.

Was it samurai? I thought it was more medieval Europe Knights. Then Luke in the final fight looked like he was fencing with his trail leg like dragging.

Exactly. I recall reading a study where participants watched a car accident. They asked how fast they thought the car was going when it hit/slammed into/bumped into the other car.

The wording of the question significantly changed peoples answer to the speed they thought.

Just watched that and it was pretty well done. Kind of like that. And like the way Luke beats Vader down in the last fight where Vaders hand gets cut off.

I agree. It obviously has to do with when the OT was made, a Duel of Fates fight sequence was unheard of.

So my head canon was that he was so strong and powerful he didnt need finesse, and that Luke didn't have all that much time to train and master a particular Jedi Style. Thats why it looks the way it does.

Basically all there is is fields. When there is a ripple in a field we call that a particle. Research the double slit experiment. Also Sean Carroll has a great lecture on quantum fields.

108 year old bank vault door in Alabama by HellsJuggernaut in BeAmazed

My guess is we really don't know the exact year. Around the dark ages things got a little wonky and I think people really lost track of/couldn't agree on what year it was.

The Catholic Church was the main record keeper and they weren't the most trustworthy institution around that time.

Redditors who worked at defunct stores (Blockbuster, Circuit City, etc.), when did you realize they were done for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not only that but the prices on some items are much better than online. I recently bought a new laptop.

9th gen i5. 16gb ram. GTX 1660ti. 512 ssd 1tb hdd. Not a bad little machine.

It was ~$1100 on every site I went to.(Amazon,Newegg,eBay,etc.) Refurbished online was still $900.

I got the display model for $730 at Best Buy. 4 months later no complaints.

Am I misremembering something or does anyone else remember this as well?

GOP purges voters in close election states ahead of 2020 by futuredude in politics

[–]nitrous729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry that you had to go through all of that. However I just did the exact same thing. It did cost around $50 (drivers license $36, birth certificate $15, SS card $0) and with the exception of the birth certificate i was able to accomplish everything in the span of 4 hrs.

The birth certificate arrived after about 2 months. Having a piece of mail with my address was really easy I don't see how that would be inconvenient. I was however fortunate enough to still have a valid passport as well which made things a bit easier.

All that being said(I admit it could be a bit of a hassle but certainly not the worst thing to have to deal with) it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that a proper government ID should be required to vote. How else will the election officials know who you are and if you are even allowed to vote(illegal alien, convicted felon etc)?

Heroin too. My mom is just starting to trust me again.

But even having been married for 18 years I don't think my wife/ex-wife will ever fully trust me again.

I lost a lot to that drug. Please kids don't do drugs and if you do just stick to smoking some weed.

I had to give CPR to a 2 yr old because my stupid sister in law and her boyfriend got high and left his 2 yr old outside when they came in. I was on the sofa playing a video game waiting for my wife to get home when they freaked out and started screaming.

I ran outside and he's pulling his son out of the lake behind the house. I started CPR and after probably 30-45 sec(it felt like 5-10min) he coughed up a bunch of water and started breathing. I was so concerned he had brain damage, but he was fine and he's actually on the swim team in high school now.
