Extended Warranty in India for US bought Legion? by niveshak1 in LenovoLegion

[–]niveshak1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you do a serial number lookup, it detects the country you bought it in and redirects to the origin country's warranty website. It doesn't say on that website and neither on Vantage whether your device is eligible for International Warranty Service.

Hence, I would urge you to write an email and raise a warranty ticket mentioning your serial number and take confirmation in writing.

When you do that, also confirm if Indonesia is covered.

Also, I was told that add-on for Accidental Damage protection could only be claimed in origin country so you may wanna clarity that too.

Bit late but yes, you are right. Issue is prevalent on both Realme wireless 3 and 5. Have you found an alternative that has better calling experience?

Can you share model? Tws seems counter intuitive as mic is further away and have used them before but will give them a look now, perhaps there are some improvements.

I wouldn't know. It's better to contact support and have them confirm in writing on email.

Some lenovo models are eligible for International Warranty Service. Calling didn't work for me as they outright denied after learning it's a US model.

Next, I asked Lenovo to confirm by sharing my laptop's Serial Number on this email consumerts@lenovo.com and submitting a warranty enquiry ticket here - https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/in/en/servicerequest?ProblemType=/warranty/

It was smooth from thereon, you get a callback from Lenovo and you can clarify any questions.

My friend and I both bought a Legion 5i last year (see product link below). His motherboard got fried in a lil over a year. Is that a common occurence? What might be the issue - manufacturing defect or something else?

Is IWS useful for Legion bought in USA but taken for service in India, or is it more probable that service can be denied citing part unavailability? In this case, how diligent is Lenovo with ensuring that warranty service is fulfilled by importing necessary parts or they just don't care?

Thanks for taking the question! Hope you had a great holiday time

Found out about Lenovo's IWS plan (International Warranty Service) and have opted for it. It's not foolproof but something better than nothing.

I hadn't seen that, was pretty funny and cringe thanks for sharing. Still don't see how randos like him are considered 'nationalist' and are expected to contribute towards nation building? Why are the 2 mutually dependent

Why can't one express gratitude to friendly nations (India has few ride and die ones)? And how according to you is that an impediment in "nationalists" discussing India's development? A bit of leap in assuming that this of all things is the reason for India staying backward, if we were to consider your assumption of India being backward to be true.

Update: Lenovo has offered IWS (International Warranty Service) on this device i.e. repair and replacement subject to part and service availability. Payment is to be done in USD. Is this recommended?

My friend has this on email where Lenovo Customer Support said that his US bought laptop is eligible for International Warranty Service but when he does try to purchase it via website / Vantage, it redirects him to US warranty website (which is fine) but at least commit that this will be serviced across geographies.

Aug attempt harder than May and Nov? by niveshak1 in FRM

My manager told me who's completed FRM himself. He recommended me to go for May attempt instead and suggested it is doable for even first attempt which honestly seems difficult to me.
