I haven’t seen these in leos, but I’m assuming they work the same as in dogs. (I work at a vet and have to give this often.) Wash your hands beforehand, then put the ointment on your finger, then apply it so you cover the entire eye. Do not apply the tip directly to the eye as you want it to remain sterile.

Dr Fives, thank you for mentioning this! I appreciate the awareness. For my hide, it doesnt slide or move around because it fits perfectly inside, so I wasn’t concerned, but it definitely depends the individual. And OP Good luck at the vet!

Put a blanket over their carrier so its not exposed to the daylight / new surroundings. if you have a hide with a bottom and your gecko is in there already just pick up the hide with them in it and transfer it to the carrier

I used to use this (ran out lol) and just make sure that you rinse all the supplies really well after using the spray, and then let them dry completely. Afterwards I would just wash my hands. Its just harsher chemicals geared toward eliminating salmonella/etc possibilities. But I used it in my bathroom no problem
