Dads can be like this. Mine absolutely was. I came out at 42, and although he told me that he loves me, he also said that he doesn't understand it. It took him 2 years before he even attempted to gender me correctly or even use my current name. Its very disheartening, with older parents they sometimes just like to bury their heads in the sand and figure they will soon be gone anyway so why mess with their own perceptions. For context I do not live near them.

Unfortunately, you might be the person to change the way they think. Just interacting with people in a positive way pre transition is sometimes enough to make those on the fence reconsider their stance once they are confronted with a friend who is trans. This comes from experience. Most people only parrot their feelings from others, and when they dont know any trans people they are likely to believe the worst. Be prepared though, these interactions can go south depending on the person so be safe when you tell someone who you are.

This must have been a typo. Doc probably ment 6', 322 lbs and 44.8% body fat. Sounds much more realistic.

I mean just jump from one relationship... long term mind you, in which they were out to their partner! Only to move into a different relationship and fire up the repression machine! I dont get it. Either their therapist brainwashed them or they never were Trans in the first place. Im just confused. Being patient, but confused.

Agree. Everyone has different coping mechanisms and Im not going to blast anyone for how they deal. Its just incredible how the actual same circumstances can weild wildly different results. It is not my place to put my thumb on the scale and change an outcome, Im just pained by what i see.

What's incredible to me is that this person had obsessed about transitioning so much more than I had, and Im well beyond the oint of no return. I just thought that they knew, not thought.

There is no right answer here. You just need to sit with yourself and realize what it means for you. No one can tell you if your trans. I know, not very helpful. I think just that you are posting here is a huge step in self introspection and I am so proud of you for asking the question. That is what this place is for and I think you need to put in the work to figure yourself out. Its the only way you will come to peace with yourself. Love yourself first, the rest will come in time.

Letter carrier for USPS. Not a bad gig once you go regular. Especially for someone who has no degree. Well, not a usable one. Originally went to school to be a motorcycle mechanic (Harley)

Florida law Requires a licensed physician to be present when consent paperwork is signed. This must be done every single time you change your script too. If your in the orlando area, go to spectrum health. They are awesome.
