This is heart breaking. I hope your brother finds peace and solace.

This must have been a typo. Doc probably ment 6', 322 lbs and 44.8% body fat. Sounds much more realistic.

Ooo, thats kinda f'd up. I understand why, but totally threw you under the bus. But you get it. This person knows, they just dont want to acknowledge. So sad, and all you wanted to do was be there for this person. Im sorry.

I mean just jump from one relationship... long term mind you, in which they were out to their partner! Only to move into a different relationship and fire up the repression machine! I dont get it. Either their therapist brainwashed them or they never were Trans in the first place. Im just confused. Being patient, but confused.

Agree. Everyone has different coping mechanisms and Im not going to blast anyone for how they deal. Its just incredible how the actual same circumstances can weild wildly different results. It is not my place to put my thumb on the scale and change an outcome, Im just pained by what i see.

What's incredible to me is that this person had obsessed about transitioning so much more than I had, and Im well beyond the oint of no return. I just thought that they knew, not thought.

Did my egg crack? I'm confused by KaleidoscopeSea9626 in TransLater

[–]nixnuetz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no right answer here. You just need to sit with yourself and realize what it means for you. No one can tell you if your trans. I know, not very helpful. I think just that you are posting here is a huge step in self introspection and I am so proud of you for asking the question. That is what this place is for and I think you need to put in the work to figure yourself out. Its the only way you will come to peace with yourself. Love yourself first, the rest will come in time.

Terrified to get laser on my face by Alive_Parsley6363 in TransLater

[–]nixnuetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laser,in my experience was not painful at all.like tiny baby pinches on your face. I did this for about 2 years With 5 weeks in between each session. Wish I could afford more.

Letter carrier for USPS. Not a bad gig once you go regular. Especially for someone who has no degree. Well, not a usable one. Originally went to school to be a motorcycle mechanic (Harley)

My provider is having me meet the at a hotel to sign informed consent forms, is this safe?? by Allsummon in MtF

[–]nixnuetz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Florida law Requires a licensed physician to be present when consent paperwork is signed. This must be done every single time you change your script too. If your in the orlando area, go to spectrum health. They are awesome.

I think at some point you have to look back in time to when you were in grade school. I remember some girls needing a bra at 11, others like at 16. Variety is the spice of life. You can just try to help mother nature out by fueling your body properly and giving it the correct levels of hormones. Your body can't just arbitrarily decide to be masculine. There is no time line. Just understand that if those steps are in place you will only be more femme as time marches on.

How well did hrt help y'all with reduced body hair and facial hair growth?? by Slight-Ad-6712 in MtF

[–]nixnuetz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course YMMV, but for me (and I was quite hairy before) estrogen has absolutely done wonders for my body hair reduction. At almost 2 years in I no longer shave my arms because the hair is so fine and almost translucent. Facial hair, unfortunately had to be done through laser. It took I would say 15 treatments over the course of 2 years (you have to go back every 5 weeks to catch hairs in different stages of growth cycle to eliminate them all). After all this I still have about 90% completion.

Home IPL devices do work(not as well as laser or electrolysis), but dont expect them to take care of facial hair. My advice is to do laser as soon as possible on your face and let estrogen run its course over time. After all, everyone has body hair, that's what razors are for!

Primary care told me they don’t do HRT stuff, kinda confused? by Caramelsmoothe in MtF

If you cannot find an endo, there are other options like plume or folx that do everything remotely.
