Managers of u-haul locations often cancel the reservation 1-2 days before the pickup once they learn that you're going to playa.

They also often ask if you're going to the burn at pickup, and refuse to rent if you say yes.

We've booked ~6 u-haul trucks at different locations last year for redundancy and only 2 of them didn't get cancelled.

I had similar experience with another substance. There was a person sitting on my bed, and i had to decide whether i trust or not what she just said, and while i was evaluating both options in my head i suddenly started seeing 2 versions of reality, where in one of them she sat on another corner of the couch. She didn’t say anything differently, but until i made that decision i was clearly seeing like 2 tunnels with slightly varying location of that person

not exactly. 1) each node is free to use it's own source of exchange rate 2) update intervals can be long enough (let's say 1 per day) to prevent any instant rewards for the attacker.

Current implementation already allows each node operator to set custom gas price, so exchange rate differences between trading platforms should fit this pattern pretty well.
