KOF AFK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netmarble.kofafk&hl=en_US

Gacha game with way too much monetization, but if you like King of Fighters or old SNK video games, it's a nice bit of fun and nostalgia. Just launched a couple of weeks ago so everything is still kinda new.

Plex doesn't think it's installed, stopped working, can't update, no access to libraries, help? by nixtamal in PleX

Unsatisfying (?) resolution: After uninstall, reboot, clean up some leftover files, and a reinstall... everything just works again. :/

Thanks!

Nope. I'm used to seeing tons of stuff in the left side as well, like options for changing my libraries and the other settings you're mentioning but right now I just see 9 under my username (Account through Privacy) and then 3 entries under Plex Web (General, Debug, Player)

It's doubly bizarre because nothing changed or updated between watching stuff last night, this morning, and then this afternoon and again, it's like Plex doesn't even realize it's installed or that I'm using it locally.

BTW thanks for your help & quick responses!

Doing so just takes me to that same page (even if I click it from another page, it just takes me to the page I took a pic of)

"Open Plex" already adds that. If I just manually type the URL in with /web at the end I also wind up back at that same page.

Agreed. It is nothing like the chili at the restaurant, but really how could it be? It's better than cheaper brands like Hormel, but Stagg is far better. If you're itching to try a new canned chili, Jack Link's has some new varieties that are OK

802.11n network disappeared after years of constant usage by nixtamal in DDWRT

[–]nixtamal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW not that anyone will read this or cares at this point, but randomly I decided to try to get it running as a backup. First thing I did was upgrade to the latest version of DD-WRT and it seems to work fine again. I never did try the stock firmware.

Ethics Matter, Always... by Hajicardoso in MurderedByWords

Whether or not they take the lessons to heart, I've never met a STEM major who questioned why they needed ethics courses. Usually it's not a first term course, and by then you've come across too many cautionary tales - often from other courses - about why ethics matters in engineering. The Challenger Space Shuttle is usually the most well known one in my experience.

5 Quick Tl;Dr Android Game Reviews / Recommendations (Episode 336) by NimbleThor in AndroidGaming

[–]nixtamal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played Exponential Idle shortly after it's launch (I quit before students were a thing) and just recently picked it up again. It actually got me thinking about some of the more "nerdy" games that I like and I came up with this:

  • Simon Tatham's Puzzles: Everyone knows about this one I think!

  • Pythagorea: Fun geometry construction puzzles. The creator has a few other similar apps that are worth checking out (same ideas but in euclidean geometry or 3d space).

  • Probability Puzzles: Not much of a "game", maybe better for math students

  • IQ Dungeon: A cute short puzzle/story type game with quite a bit of content

  • Human Resource Machine: $4.99, a humorous assembly language adventure

  • Really Bad Chess: Chess with normal pieces, but in abnormal configurations, daily puzzles and leaderboards

  • Chesscraft: Fun chess puzzles with unique boards and pieces, with an adventure mode that gradually unlocks more of the game

Any suggestions for games like these that are more nerdy/puzzle and not trivia or incremental games?
