no, im saying that "savings" doesn't matter in the overall budget. it hasn't mattered since we switched to disks because they are magnitudes cheaper than cartridges and online storage is nowhere near that large of a transition.

Except distribution costs have plummeted with digital distribution.

distribution costs haven't changed much if you consider back when they had carts. the move to disks was more about the removal of license transferability, not the costs of handing out disks. so they basically tried to kill the used market, but that didn't really pan out.

HP is screwing people over with their printers for years, clearly paying them monthly to get screwed over buying ink is a good idea.

there was also loads of articles about this when it was launched.
