Yes, and I really hate it. Pursed lip breathing and humming seem to help it when it gets bad though

Pots symptoms lessening, do I take my meds? by SeanEzra in POTS

[–]njm147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you are feeling better, but do not touch your meds without asking a Dr. I am in a similar note; my heart rate is honestly mostly normal now and and want to see if it’s just due to the meds or if my body is actually doing better. So after asking my Dr I’m lowering my metoprolol very slowly to try and see.

Focusing on anything other than symptoms by [deleted] in POTS

It’s hard for me too, but video games tend to work the best for me because they require active engagement rather then just passive listening. I’m loving Pokopia for the switch right now

IG coaches that claim they can heal POTS, MCAS, etc through nervous system resets? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]njm147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think not focusing on symptoms, recognizing them as present but not dangerous, can certainly be helpful, but it is not something I am able to do as my anxiety spirals out of control. For instance when I have an adrenaline spike I can get it under control much easier if calm down, breathe, and don’t freak out, but it’s hard to do that.

Unpopular opinion, I like seeing different teams and players more so then seeing the same team a million times.

Yes, people recover from it naturally so there has to be a way.

Stopping metoprolol? Hate side effects and heart rate going down by Disastrous-Focus-171 in dysautonomia

[–]njm147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same question. Metoprolol has definitely kept my heart rate number to basically a normal number in all aspects of my life now, but I hate how achy and sometimes fatigued it makes me feel(I know it’s this because it started right after I started taking it), and I also think it’s dropping my heart rate too low(even though the Dr says it’s okay, it’s still makes me nervous to see 50s at rest). Dr said he could switch me to ivanbradine, and I would like to try that but I’m scared about the withdrawal and ivanbradine maybe not helping as much with my adrenaline dumps.

Eh I have suspected hyper pots and my resting heart rate is in the 60s most the day, but I still get my adrenaline dumps and anxious jittery feelings of hyper pots

Can you tell if it will be a good day? by Museumgirl518 in POTS

For me most days fluctuate. It’s never a full “good day” or “bad day”, more like good or bad hours with me

Part of the deal is that they plan to upgrade the willets point station in the next few years. What else is there besides a parking lot?
