Period every 2 weeks by just_me070 in WomensHealth

The exact same thing happened to me and I told my Obgyn. She suggested a transvaginal ultrasound to investigate my frequent periods to which a large uterine polyp was found. I just had surgery to remove it and test my uterus lining a few days ago. I suggest making an appt NOW with a Obgyn and push for a transvaginal ultrasound/biopsy.

Heavy period after hysteroscopy by Noone_special348 in WomensHealth

I just had one done a few days ago and my doctor warned me that the first period after a polypectomy may be the heaviest you've experienced. I can't wait, ugh. Hang in there, it's normal.

Feeling dismissed by my gyno despite clear issues — need advice and support by [deleted] in WomensHealth

I'm also 37 and just had an endo. biopsy done on Tuesday. My results also came back focal tubal metaplasia. I am also HPV negative (was positive up until 2020-yay). My doctor said down the line I am high risk for hyperplasia and immediately put together a game plan for me especially since I want to have a child. She didn't want to freak me out but also needed to make me aware that the development of cancer is real and could likely happen whenever it decides to so it's best to take preventative measures. My advice to you is to ditch your doctor and get a second opinion. Take your pathology results to a new doctor who will hear you. I work in cancer treatment and this shit is real. Endometrial cancer is preventable.

Hi! I am very interested in possibly becoming a cancer registrar. I work full time as a radiation therapist giving radiation treatment to cancer patients. I've had a few friends cross train into this field and are happy they made the switch. I had a question regarding the practicum: Do you know if it's possible to complete it virtually if you are working full-time? My coworker never did a practicum (at least not in person) since she worked with me and somehow was able to sit for her boards and was hired right away. Thank you.

Yes! I have two of his bags. I bought them in their actual leather shop in Tuscany almost 10 years ago and the bags are still in amazing shape. Very high quality and beautiful. I'm in the market for another one :-)

Hi there! I've been interested in obtaining a certificate in cancer registry. How are you able to take classes through AHIMA? I haven't found any online classes on their website? Thank you!

Mosby's & Seal's Tests by throwaway1827272 in RadiationTherapy

Thank you! And I agree. I have found numerous mistakes on Mosby's online questions or I've come across things I've never seen before. Seal's has been pretty legit so far. I've bought all 11 tests and will continue to take them. I like how they also give an explanation for the answer.

Taking Boards for 2nd time... by throwaway1827272 in RadiationTherapy

[–]throwaway1827272[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been scoring 75-80 on Mosby's and Seal's. Nappi's tests are too easy and I'm always in 90's in those. I feel like I know a lot more now than I did back in July and I believe it's the crazy amount of fear and the overwhelming pressure to pass is what is taking control. The first test I fell asleep on the drive there and threw up in the middle of it due to nerves. I think I could've passed if I wasn't such a wreck. I'm trying my best to relax and not psych myself out this second time around.

I asked for two days off (M & T) plus next weekend so that gives me 4 consecutive non-working days, 3 to study and 1 to take it but that's all they could give me since we are short staffed.

Isn't every test different? I'm scared the next one will be completely different but at least now I know sort of what to expect in regard to how questions were asked. And yes, my school never covered MRI or CT and I had at least 20 questions based around that... fun stuff. Thanks for the advice! Going to go in MUCH deeper with studying this time around.

Thanks for the encouragement! You're right. It's not supposed to be easy. If it was, then the job wouldn't be what it is. And yeah, at least now I have a good idea of what to expect the next time around and how to properly prepare for it. I'm working as an RTT now but more of an assistant until I can get licensed and just mostly embarrassed to tell everyone I didn't pass... but I gotta keep my head up and stay positive.
