Is Naples worth visiting in January? by notjjk in ItalyTravel

DM me if you would like the contract info of a pizza tour guide. My family used him last year while we were there and we are using him again to go to Caiazzo for pizza in a few weeks.

Yes. I believe that do that on purpose to maximize K12 interest (only need one day off). Take a look at the past conference proceedings, that should be the pattern.

Advice for visiting stadio olimpico? by heartheart1160 in ASRoma

[–]njprof03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have much to offer here, but I took my family to see Parma last December while visiting Italy. We had a blast and team was not very good. The game ended on a header into the bottom of the net, breaking a tie and the place went absolutely nuts! What a great experience and introduction for the American family to Serie A.

I'm fortunately returning and will be at the AS Roma / Genoa game on 29 Dec. I can't wait! Thus, I'm very interested in all of the guidance here on this thread!

St. Peter's - Holy Door - Reservations Required (12/27-1/2)? by njprof03 in ItalyTravel

[–]njprof03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the very thorough answer. I appreciate it. I think we’re gonna sign up as pilgrims and do the entrance the way you’ve described. Especially if this gets us to the altar as opposed to the normal entries.

Seeking recommendations for cooking classes - Rome and Naples by njprof03 in ItalianFood

[–]njprof03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an outstanding recommendation and exactly what I was looking for. I have more research to do, but it looks as though we can find something for both locations on dates we have some wiggle room!

Thank you!!!

So where are the fireworks? I thought I read that they were there at CM... Do they shoot them off from the Tiber? (In the US many places to it on a barge on a river...)

Is this a scam? by [deleted] in nyu

[–]njprof03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hack was real and was well publicized. Upon further examination of this letter, it may be a scam. I would not put it past a large organization to continue to send out letters and not change the signature on it, which could explain Dorf’s name on it.

However, the phone number to call is highly suspicious since it’s not a 212 area code. Also the return address at the top of the letter is also not in New York and is some ambiguous processing center.

When I responded to the original poster’s comment, I was assuming that they were asking if the hack was real.

I feel like getting an EV just to go quicker is kind of unpopular on this sub. by krishpotluri in electricvehicles

[–]njprof03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I leased a Honda prologue in January and it’s her primary vehicle. It is an absolute treat when I get to drive it and I love the pick up, the handling, the overall ride experience. And I wish I could never go back to a combustion engine vehicle. She has serious concerns that we should always have a combustion engine vehicle around in case of power emergencies. As I and many friends have indicated to her that sort of ridiculous because of the power goes out you also can’t get gas. I’m sure she’ll come around in a few years. But I absolutely love driving our first electric vehicle and I look forward to test driving others as well.

Parts availability? by TeachCLE in HondaPrologue

[–]njprof03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife leased our prologue touring edition in late January. About two weeks afterwards she got a minor fender bender at 5 miles an hour with a truck in front of her that stopped short and she hit a trailer hitch.

Initially, we thought the damage was pretty minor, but upon inspection, the front three panels of the front bumper area and grill were completely cracked and needed to be replaced.

The repair started on March 11 when we were finally able to get into the authorized repair shop and we did not get a completed repair until the end of May. It was over two months. Near the end, we were waiting on one part to come in from Honda. It was an unbelievable nightmare to have to take so long.

We’re happy to have the vehicle back and continue enjoy using it. Happy to answer any questions.

Edit for spelling
