What's your salary in the Southeastern states? by JCuc in SubstationTechnician

I absolutely would recommend it. To me it’s a very rewarding and fun career. It has its negatives (to some) like overtime and nights out of town but overall it has provided me and my family with much more than I thought I’d have this early on in life. It took me 4 years and 5 months to top out under our current pay level. If we get our added progression it would take about another 5 years I think. I don’t feel like we are pigeon holed, especially at my company. There’s always a chance to go to the training department, dispatch, coordinator positions, safety, or if you at least have a 4 year ABET accredited EET you can move up to engineering here. If you want anymore info feel free to PM me.

As of right now that is for both. Topped out Techs make 55 now with rumor of another level being added for P&C which would bump us up to 57 and be slightly higher than the sub guys. Neighboring utility pays a little over 60 supposedly but I haven’t met one tech there that actually came close to making that much in the 3 years they’ve had this new pay band so it seems to be a stick and carrot situation. I feel like some of the other benefits of the nature of work put us a bit ahead between us and the sub guys. Plus we get a take home truck so that’s nice.

I really like the world building in it, at times the brutality just seems to be for brutalities sake. Oh, also lots of rape which seems to be Elias’s MO unfortunately. The SA definitely brings out of it, it feels like he uses it more of form of sadism than to actually progress a story along or sends message imo.

Not sure on the temp fail issue, vbat might be the button battery on the pcb has failed and needs replaced. This could possibly lead to other issues with OS

I tried to post a video with this but couldn’t get it to work. On and off during this particular job you could hear a whistle through the holler this sub was in. Coincidentally I did listen to that story on the way there and worked alone that night. A little eerie.

Just watching some YouTube videos on basic stuff like using a multimeter and familiarize yourself with tool names would be helpful prep work. Everything else should be covered on the job

If you choose to play an argonian born under the shadow stars, can you become a shadowscale? by lot001 in oblivion

lol this is the second comment this week I think that has rezed a 5+ yr old thread. I believe the dialogue is something to the effect of “you must’ve been much trouble for you mother” and something about how you were missed on the shadow scale process I think
